threw together this simple drawing tool that let me play with line weight in real time while i traced. wanted to see if this would make anything satisfying vs. my work yesterday.

after i made a drawing i saved it out as postscript, by "printing" to a postscript printer driver - then selecting "save as file - postscript".

this allows me to open the image as scalable vectors in illustrator and manipulate them further.
