I think it's because it was just mentioned the other day in a NY Times editorial, and again in a response by Richard Dawkins in a letter to the Times editor.

(That's how I came across it. I assume a few million others did too.)

Yeah, I have to say Smarty, you always deliver! That was pretty funny.
