A Toast to Bread:

O bread, O staff of life!
Were I not married, I'd make you my wife.
To have and to hold,
Until you grow mold -
Bold bread! Bread for all!
With sesame sprinkles,
I bathe thee with wine
As twilight twinkles.
I toast thee!
I toast thee!
O Bread be mine!

I am some would call an avid bread eater. I could eat it all day...varying kinds mind you. I don't always find it necessary to toast, but every once in a while I can't resist. There is no smell as refreshing as fresh toast.

I've just found a new bread I like and it may sum this up a bit. It's made of sprouted grains...so very rare in bread today...it's crunchy and good. It has no flour or preservatives and the recipe it's self comes from times before toasters. Ezekiel 4:9...

Being a sprout myself I like the ability to toast if I want...but it great be a part of the bread...I hate the idea that all that flour can mess it up for everybody...

sorry meesterFox the penny of your toast only just dropped for me! (good to see you back toasting again btw) aye i share your concern however as i see it the majority of jam toasters in this bloody awful and apparently never-ending jam toaster infestation of ours seem to almost exclusively toast their jam via the CREATE NEW BREAD button, apart from the ToffeePress-type jam toasters who seem to like toasting their jam in existing breads

As an old toaster, I'd recommend, to both new and old toasters, against using unnecessary flames in breads. Trying to pull the breads out of the fire usually results in shocks to all involved and ruined toasts. Scraping breads after the fact rarely removes the bad taste that results from flames. As an old toaster I've burnt some breads myself before, and have regretted the results. These days I try to carefully monitor bread making and toasting to avoid it. I'd like to apologize here to any toasters who's wires I may have crossed in the past that have resulted in burnt toasts.
Carry on and enjoy your toasts.

I think because I will never make it to the darkroom (if it even exists anymore, who knows really, and what is it anyway?) I will always be a perpetually new toaster and therefore will toast. Here.
I'd like to think that because I only toast cornbread most of the time anyway, it gives other, newbier toasters the courage to jump in and ask the questions without fear, toasting more exotic breads than I could ever dream of. Besides, if I've toasted this long, anyone can.

So Mr. Zero, if I want to be a hip, accepted toaster, what are the rules for toasting breads?
