I can't tell you how many times I've had car stereos stolen because I forgot to roll the window all the way up...
Well - I guess I could - three times. :D

P.S. Oh yeah - and then there was the time I was late for a gig, and I was in such a hurry to get my car parked by the attendant (there was a line of cars waiting to be served) I jumped out in the right lane next to the venue & automatically locked the door - with the engine running & the lights on. Traffic was backed up on Ventura Blvd. for about, oh, two blocks, until AAA got there to unlock the door.
NO ONE could possibly have done anything as dumb as that in real life... could they?

i lose everything, Ari, and it sucks every time.

i locked my keys in my car Friday afternoon in a rush to meet my friends for lunch. when i finally got the spare set and got to my car 5 horus later i learned i had left the lights on. so now i have an open car, but a dead car.

so i decide to deal with it later and go home. that night we get a wonderful snow storm, so i couldn't get to my car. when i finally got there Sunday night it was covered in plowed snow. i had to dig it out, jump it and then drive it home.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I would be devistated if I lost my laptop. It's not even the laptop, it's everything inside. I hope you are lucky and it comes home to you.

I didn't really lose something like that, but I bet the feeling was about the same. When I lived in Germany I had an older BMW that I had rebuilt. It was fast.....very fast. And purty. Normally, I don't really care about cars but, for some reason, I loved this one. My little blue speed demon. Anyway, one day I'm driving down the road and I just space......looking off into a field or something. Next thing I know, wham! right into another car. Bent the frame on the BMW.......totalled it. I was a couple of months away from finishing the conversions to bring it back here.....I was devastated. Just because I spaced out and forgot what I was doing.

Lost your laptop? oooh, it makes me cry to think about it , I am so sorry, i don't know what i would do if something happened to my Powerbook. Maybe you will get very lucky and it will find it's way home. I hope so...

I'm so sorry Arif :( Losing the laptop is bad enough, but the fact that it has all your stuff on it...
