View Full Version : What gets you out of bed in the morning?

I'm just curious what inspires other people. What motivates you to do the things that you do? What drives you? Is it simple ambition? Faith? A little one? Your cat?

Once upon a time I put my feet on the floor because it was expected of me. Now it's something completely different...

Sometimes it's the sound of my cat puking on the only rug we have in the entire house. Stupid cat.

My alarm wakes me up, my bladder gets me out of bed, my puppies keep me from going back to bed, my music, my faith, and my ministry keep me moving on.

Usually: a huge jolt of anxiety at everything I need to do (which all should have been done weeks ago) and empty cat food bowls.

Sometimes: something nice - like my voice lesson today, a rehearsal for a show, or seeing my friend Laura and her little baby boy.

What I would like it to be: a great job that I'm good at, that allows me to pay the bills *when they arrive*, and where people respect me - and someone to cook breakfast for. (All in good time. :))

you people and your pets. and kids. and cats. ha. ~I~ get up because every morning, i realize that i've paid thousands of dollars to be here, and if i don't get up, i'd probably get in trouble. and because i can't do much from my bed anymore. my computer is in another room now. *sigh*

I have two cats that enjoy this early morning ritual but the event can happen anywhere. The kwaah... cuhhh...guah..splash sound is so welcoming at 6 am.

Synthroid, Mobicox, Methotrexate, Dicetel, and Pentasa. (There are others, but they're just window dressing.)

Annoying alarm clock and bladder, and the need to wake little sister because she sleeps through almost everything but the light being turned on. Or at least she pretends to sleep through it. -_-

Two alarm clocks, minimum. Sometimes a third. Lots of snooze hitting.
