View Full Version : dreams
let's see if i can explain this....first off i'm on a plane and it begins it's approach for landing, but the plane in upside down. I'm the only one screaming and everyone is telling me to shut-up. We land safely and i'm off to a connecting flight, i get on this plane and there are no seats, you're supposed to find a spot on the floor and hold on for dear life. I have simon with me and he's in a paper bag. I make it through this flight and land in denver. When i'm getting off the plane the flight attendant takes simon away and tells me he should have never been allowed on the flight.
I get really upset, so people keep handing me other types of dogs. I have a bit of a childlike temper tantrum, i keep yelling at people saying "are you stupid that's not simon"....i'm really sad and the next thing i know i end up in a second hand store and yep, I have no pants on. I keep trying to find a pair of pants to put on, but i can't find any in my size. so i try to wrap scarves around me. The sales clerk starts laughing at me and I wake up.
Am i losing it?
"insecure" is the word that first springs to mind, but then dreams always seem to mean that you're insecure about something.
i felt the same thing when i was typing it out.
kind of like i feel like everything is out of control...that or someone is trying to steal my dog....i'd give my last breath to that little bastard so they better never try!!!!

Please take a seat Miss Rimmer, and I will explain all.
(Dont worry, I'm a doctor)
Firstly we have the updside down plane indicating your lack of control of your situatuion around you, and shows that your brain is not really wired up correctly.
People are telling you to shut up - You are being repressed by others around you, because you are noisy and being a whiner.
The next plane ride is the one you wish to take - away from your fears of not having any chairs in the house.
The dog is precious to you, and you fear losing you nearest and dearest companion, your German Shitehound.
The wrong dog exchange involves not being misled by people, especially those with other less smelly dogs than yours.
The no-pants on in the store means you want to walk around naked in public - which is perfectly normal behaviour in your warped world.
YOU ARE NUTS, WOMAN - Book a padded cell soon.

I have to wait until I get home - it's a dream from a number of years ago - I wrote it down as soon as I woke up - I think I've figured out what it meant but I'd love Peg to take a crack at it -
but I have to wait until, like, tomorrow since I have stuff to do until 11pm tonight... :)
Speaking of dreams & dreaminess... Alfred Molina is the moderator for my acting class tonight... be still my beating heart...

seems to me that rmr is trying very hard to heard but people are not listening, you might be losing a friend (repesented by simon), feeling a little exposed, but showing adaptability (the scarf substitute for pants, see, you are not helpless)

Last week I had a dream that I was the president's typist, I'm not kidding. I had to type for him and he had a secret white house here in Oak Park, but it was inside an office building. I left work early and he fired me...he actually said "ruth we will not be needing your services any longer"

i spent about a half an hour detailing a dream i had the other night and accidentally shut down the page without actually posting it. grr.
anyhoo, weird dream that Chicago was engulfed with mighty one-mile high tornadoes on top of tornadoes. it was actually a spectacular site.
then last night i dreamt of sewers and giant dogs dogs, rusty saws, keys under sawdust, jumping on the top of moving fire trucks, jungle gym and a kicking a boxing kangaroo.
weird.

ok last nights dream had to do with hotels, poolside seats, naked people, coffee, Paris and Nikki Hilton, road trip, 2 old boyfriends, murder and the inevitable throwing away someone's rug and getting yelled at for it.

i rarely have nightmares. only once every couple of years. i often have freaky dreams, though, one's that creep me out or bother me. nightmares gotta shake my bones, though, and usually eat at my core.

i used to have terrible nightmares too.. i would wake up 8 or 9 times a night because i was run over by a bus, or shot by a criminal, drowned in a swimming pool, fell off a building, had to kill people in a war, rescue someone but failing, running away from demons, etc.. then the dragon dreams started.

Cool!
ooh I'd love to see them too. :)
I had a recurring nightmare for a month or so a few years ago, i was getting mauled by dogs, and then I woke up and some guy was shoving my covers in my throat, the entire duvet, and then I woke up and I was being chased but I couldn't run, I was just crawling and couldn't get up no matter what I did, i just couldn't hardly move at all. Then I really woke up. That one was nasty. Doesn't sound particularly scary as dreams go, but at the time it was fkin terrifying.

That is one cool looking dragon, Frieda. I would dream about it too given half a chance. I love all the details. Is this exactly how it is in your dream?

in my dreams, the dragon's body is the size of a big truck. it's head and neck are really high.. this is what it's head looks like from a distance.
it's weird, it's the only thing i can draw really well.. usually i suck at drawing!
Frieda that is awesome.. really awesome. i wish I dreamt about dragons.

last night i dreamt that i went to a job interview while working at my new job. it seemed it was in some sort of fancy highschool. the rooms had two walls of glass, one on the outside wall, the other the interior wall.
after meeting the lady quickly, i left the room (for some reason) and forgot to go back, was chatting with some friends. then the bell rang and school was out and i ran back to the room she was in and she wasn't there.
i located her just before she went in to another room to teach a workshop or lecture or something. i had to pretend that i was severely ill and kept coughing and wheezing so she thought i was sick which is why i didn't come back. she told me not to worry about it and we'll meet for lunch sometime to continue the view.
all the while my new boss knew i was going on this interview "as a courtesy".
hmm...
