Well Deev, you seem in a bad mood again, and yet you get to "work" but still play on here for chunks of the day.
In the words of Drop Dead Fred...... "Get Happy"... *SMACK*

Can we help, or are you wallowing?

Deviate
04-11-2003, 10:11 AM
here's the thing:
if i was in a good mood i wouldn't be here. i tend to come here to get out of whatever shit is going on.

and i'm not wallowing, thank you, i just happen to be very logical about how i'm feeling. if someone asks how i am (which in this case, yes, i know, it was offered, not asked) i am pretty blunt with an answer.

if i were wallowing i'd be boo-hooing up and down the threads. i'm not throwing a temper-tantrum, i'm not bawling it out, i'm not crying on the shoulder of any zemonkey. i just happened to say i'm not so much in a good mood.

and i apologize, but i haven't been for awhile, and although i am attempting to just "get happy" sometimes it's not easy as all candy and sunshine.

Harry Potter, for god's sake.;)

Ugh, and I got a bill from the collection agency for a bill I've never seen before!!!! WTF!? I'm a goddess of credit! Am I the only one who has this happen? GD!!

Anyway, anilingus is now my favourite word!:D

ah, i've not seen the second Harry Potter yet. i'd like to. saw the first with my cousin, but she told me what was going to happen like seconds before it did. it was very aggrevating.

wouldn't mind to watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch goes to Malabu like that, but not a movie i'm actually keen on seeing.

Um, excuse me, but I think I just heard Mr. Spock clear his throat. I spent a lot of money in therapy, and one repeating theme was that one cannot be logical about one's feelings...

I totally hear you about "getting happy". Crapola. The only thing that ever works for me is trying to figure out what is hurting me, and see if there is something I can do to change it. I'm a control freak, so that works for me. Failing that, I just vent and vent and vent, until it goes away.

I know you didn't ask, but your pain flows out of this board and onto my keyboard. I MUST try to help. Forgive me.

ambo, peg, thanks.

and i have to give a shout out to Lala and Beale as well. you guys have helped considerably.

Peg - that pic is Hysterical and is now my new desktop background.

Ambo - re: logical about once's feelings
i've always analyzed my situation down to the most subtle nuance. i can't help it. when i'm in a pisser i tend to analyze it to the point where i can talk about it very logically. it's the only thing, sometimes, that holds me together.

yes, i know logically i could say "f*ck it" and it'd all be over. but that's not the case. and when you're in a shitty mood and get overlooked, well, that usually only adds fuel to the fire.

i'm not really the type of person that will fully divulge their feelings. i'll say i'm in a bad mood or feeling shitty and explain my situation, but not really get into the extent of the emotions. i think that's MY control issue.

ANYWAY -

this was not supposed to be a me ranting session. thanks for the concern. just trying to muddle through a nice bog o' crap.

oh, and my coffee is insanely weak. and it's the last fish fry tonight. and i'm going to Iowa to see my dying cousin tomorrow. and Chuckles the Gum-Pooping Chicken is almost out of M & M's. and so on and a so forth.

hey dev, hope it gets better. i know what you mean (i think) about trying to sort out feelings in a logical way. i like to think(feel) it through from start to finish, to use the pop psych nomenclature, to 'own' those feelings, i don't ask that those feelings be logical, but one can be logical in processing them, then i like to go on a massive cleaning binge to release the energy

i now a lot on this subject Peg - albeit my own take on it. I've been an insomniac most of my life...

no specific recommendations - each to his/her own i think...

My break came when i gave up...stopped caring that I couldn't sleep and realized that I can function on barely any (not pleasant but its okay)

also started getting up and doing stuff when I couldn't sleep instead of lying in a pit of boredom.

Peg, i completely agree with the previous statement about booze being a bad tranquilizer. the less i drink the better i sleep. when i drink i tend to wake up a lot in the night instead of sleeping through it.
and bubble baths are the best relaxers, besides pony tail guys which are the penultimate, but it you don't happen to have one of those... hey, i have a couple extra ones, i could loan you #2 or #3 if you want, what do you like better brunettes or curly brownettes? you can't have #1 because he is busy tonight.
