I was reading through our first epic and really liked what came out of it, so how about trying another?

The rules are simple: one stanza at four lines at max, you can write two , you can write three ... whatever you prefer ...

I'll start:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometime beyond tomorrow
and yet wrapped within today
I saw my future before me
before it was swept away.

I swam into the sea
It promised to provide
the waves that sucked me under
a sucker of the tide

Only a year ago I wept
today I found joy
tomorrow it'll be taken away
disguised in some foul ploy

That year it was September
I promised to reply
The year I won't remember
Very soon will be July...

Something in his words
Something in his actions
Something in his touch
Made me fail to move.

They say that talk is cheap
I have to wonder why
I wake up in the morning
And wonder why I cry

September stole our kisses
September stole our love
September rendered promises
And flew away, as a dove.

Now I'm at this crossroads
Standing at this place,
Remembering that September.
Remembering your face.

"Don't go," you said
Eyes filled with dread
Heart broken
on your sleeve

But even though
They made me go,
I never meant
To leave.

I recall the day I met you
mischief in your eyes
beguiled by some strange fantasy
I began to realize

That tragic as the truth was,
Sad as it hung there, grieving,
It wailed I'd ne'er had such luck
Ere I betook his leaving.

Time goes through it's stages,
The past shall always grow.
Through mellow peace and rages,
Of endless seeds to sow.

And out of that comes
understanding, sweet
and sometimes sour
Strength formed, vision clear.

Eyes can open
Mouths do speak
Through good and bad
Beware, the meek

The first time you came back
I swore it was the end
The ninth time you came back
it was only just beginning
