way too much tension to sleep
warm breath on my neck

A light in our pane
roommate takes his grin to work
Angel and I spoke

this year, i'll set goals
I said to him as he gawked
smiled with contempt

"goals are for soccer"
he said with a sheepish grin
"and you've never played."

i pushed him aside
and went back to my drawings
mumbling to myself

"it will work this time."
"slow and steady wins the race"
I drew a tortoise

art is killing me
the tortoise must win the race
say "no" to paint fumes

Angel sauntered in
Angel wasn't wearing much
a cheap way to flirt

In this case- cheap worked
pay the price, slide "The Spiral"
my pocket's empty.

she saw my turtle
it sucked, I tried to hide it
oh good grief! Shrinkage

leisurely strolling
I rethink my master plan
angel came with me

"Is this where you sleep?"
"Yeah, but I don't get much rest"
"I can relate, yeah..."

We didn't slumber
We didn't even try to
restful all the same

Sheepish grin boy peeked
but blankets hid the good stuff
no shrinkage this time

Night went by wide-eyed
way too much tension to sleep
warm breath on my neck

A light in our pane
roommate takes his grin to work
Angel and I spoke

"Tonight can we meet?"

this year, i'll set goals
I said to him as he gawked
smiled with contempt

"goals are for soccer"
he said with a sheepish grin
"and you've never played."

i pushed him aside
and went back to my drawings
mumbling to myself

"it will work this time."
"slow and steady wins the race"
I drew a tortoise

art is killing me
the tortoise must win the race
say "no" to paint fumes

Angel sauntered in
Angel wasn't wearing much
a cheap way to flirt

In this case- cheap worked
pay the price, slide "The Spiral"
my pocket's empty.

she saw my turtle
it sucked, I tried to hide it
oh good grief! Shrinkage

leisurely strolling
I rethink my master plan
angel came with me

"Is this where you sleep?"
"Yeah, but I don't get much rest"
"I can relate, yeah..."

We didn't slumber
We didn't even try to
restful all the same

Sheepish grin boy peeked
but blankets hid the good stuff
no shrinkage this time

Night went by wide-eyed
way too much tension to sleep
warm breath on my neck

A light in our pane
roommate takes his grin to work
Angel and I spoke

"Tonight can we meet?"
twas time for goal number one

with a plan and hotdog stand
Beckoned me to him

"Do you know Tarot?"
I queried him sheepishly
"Yes, good sir, for you"

He gave me the cards
"Cut them seven times" he sighed
I did what he said

Belive cards, Who me?
But first card is an Angel

this year, i'll set goals
I said to him as he gawked
smiled with contempt

"goals are for soccer"
he said with a sheepish grin
"and you've never played."

i pushed him aside
and went back to my drawings
mumbling to myself

"it will work this time."
"slow and steady wins the race"
I drew a tortoise

art is killing me
the tortoise must win the race
say "no" to paint fumes

Angel sauntered in
Angel wasn't wearing much
a cheap way to flirt

In this case- cheap worked
pay the price, slide "The Spiral"
my pocket's empty.

she saw my turtle
it sucked, I tried to hide it
oh good grief! Shrinkage

leisurely strolling
I rethink my master plan
angel came with me

"Is this where you sleep?"
"Yeah, but I don't get much rest"
"I can relate, yeah..."

We didn't slumber
We didn't even try to
restful all the same

Sheepish grin boy peeked
but blankets hid the good stuff
no shrinkage this time

Night went by wide-eyed
way too much tension to sleep
warm breath on my neck

A light in our pane
roommate takes his grin to work
Angel and I spoke

"Tonight can we meet?"
twas time for goal number one
so many goals, which?

"Which one, which?" I ask
"the village or lower east?"
"Lower, Please!" I fawn

"Lower it is then."
The cab slips past Bowery
"Roosevelt Park, please"

Cabbie drives quickly
under a Manhattan moon
he stops suddenly

Beyond, musicians
A street fair blossomed here I
pay the cab driver

ahhh...live music, food.
a carnival atmosphere
wish angel was here

dancers float ribbons
I buy some cotton candy
today, indulgence

A strange little man
with a plan and hotdog stand
Beckoned me to him

"Do you know Tarot?"

warm breath on my neck

A light in our pane
roommate takes his grin to work
Angel and I spoke

"Tonight can we meet?"
twas time for goal number one
so many goals, which?

"Which one, which?" I ask
"the village or lower east?"
"Lower, Please!" I fawn

"Lower it is then."
The cab slips past Bowery
"Roosevelt Park, please"

Cabbie drives quickly
under a Manhattan moon
he stops suddenly

Beyond, musicians
A street fair blossomed here I
pay the cab driver

ahhh...live music, food.
a carnival atmosphere
wish angel was here

dancers float ribbons
I buy some cotton candy
today, indulgence

A strange little man
with a plan and hotdog stand
Beckoned me to him

"Do you know Tarot?"
I queried him sheepishly
"Yes, good sir, for you"

He gave me the cards
"Cut them seven times" he sighed
I did what he said

Belive cards, Who me?
But first card is an Angel
Now what could I say?

Me rendered speechless
mmm ah ooh er ah oh mmm
I managed to say

The old man nodding
the next card turns - a joker!
Strange, thats my nickname!

Shiver down my spine
"Anymore questions?" He asked.
....yes, will...we...find love?

Maybe lust, not love
the card, Lovers, upside down.
Then came the Hanged Man...

this year, i'll set goals
I said to him as he gawked
smiled with contempt

"goals are for soccer"
he said with a sheepish grin
"and you've never played."

i pushed him aside
and went back to my drawings
mumbling to myself

"it will work this time."
"slow and steady wins the race"
I drew a tortoise

art is killing me
the tortoise must win the race
say "no" to paint fumes

Angel sauntered in
Angel wasn't wearing much
a cheap way to flirt

In this case- cheap worked
pay the price, slide "The Spiral"
my pocket's empty.

she saw my turtle
it sucked, I tried to hide it
oh good grief! Shrinkage

leisurely strolling
I rethink my master plan
angel came with me

"Is this where you sleep?"
"Yeah, but I don't get much rest"
"I can relate, yeah..."

We didn't slumber
We didn't even try to
restful all the same

Sheepish grin boy peeked
but blankets hid the good stuff
no shrinkage this time

Night went by wide-eyed
way too much tension to sleep
warm breath on my neck

A light in our pane
roommate takes his grin to work
Angel and I spoke
