Changing Avatars 2

I keep getting this message why I try to change it

" This is not a GIF or a JPG please ensure it is and try again "

But it IS... IT iSss... look...

currently the board doesn't support uploading images to my database. If yopu'd like to use that avatar however you can link to it using html...
ie img src="xxx"

I'm sorry Ze, thanks for replying, but I still dont get ya! I'm not that intelligent when it comes to computers, I just draw stuff!

On the Avatar editing screen theres two boxes (like you dont know!?!:D)

I uploaded my jpg to a website (recommended by frieda) and put the address into the first box:

" You can enter an URL of your avatar: "
Note: this will be stored locally on the server

But the screen I mentioned in my first post came up.

Can someone pretend they're explaining this to a 7 year old (I might understand then!!)
