Somehow, my father got a hold of a stuffed duck. It was a geography experiment by some nine year old kid in Texas- you were to take a picture with the duck, send the picture and a little story telling the kid where the duck had been, then send the duck along.
So it traveled with me for a bit, had its picture taken at the Mystery Spot, an old road side attraction, and then passed on to someone else.
Last I heard, it was headed for the Caribbean. Lucky duck.

something about this reminds me of that twilite zone where you are handed a box with a button on it and if you press the button it'll kill somebody that you do not know but you get a million dollars, and then the box is taken from you and handed to a stranger and then, of course, we learn that pressing the button kills off the last person who had the box...
