Domain names

I am looking for a place where I can get a free domain name. Any sugguestions.
I plan to buy one once my partners and I decide on our marketing stratagy for this newspaper, but we just want something to point potential ad clients to a web site for prices and spec information. This site is still in the works so let me know what you think.

ourwave.com is not taken, if you pay to register it you can change your site hosting service whenever you like. my domain is registered with Network Solutions, the name is not tied to any host. Registering is not expensive.

I think we paid like 7 bucks to register bigbangband.biz . It's the hosting that can get expensive.

We use Lunarpages.com for our band site...pretty cheap...about 8 bucks a month ... but then we don't need tons of bandwidth for our site so we went with their cheapest plan. Still way more bandwith and storage than we need...but nice to have a buffer.
We get 500 mb of disk space and like 40 gigs of bandwith a month.

Check into www.ipowerweb.com and www.1and1.com. ipowerweb seems to have a decent package for a year, if you want to spend a little.
