Bahamas -- Jack Tar Village. I was 16, I hardly saw my parents the whole time I was there. It was wickedly beautiful there, too. Second runner up.. believe it or not ... Orlando and Disneyworld last November.

Yep. When I first got here, I figured it'd help me meet new people, new friends. Best: taken out by a charming man who arrived with a dozen roses and then off to one of the top restaurants in NYC, then whisked away in a big stretch limo for some jazz music at a club in the village. Worst: most of the ones I ran across had some severe personal issues they needed to address and were using the dating site as a lazy man's way of finding someone to entertain them. I think out of the five dates I went on that way, one turned stalker, one was obsessed with his ex gf and compared me to her (in bad ways), one was just plain crazy and mauled me within five minutes of meeting him, and another was an ex delta force officer with a hidden S&M fetish.

I went on a trip to Mackinac Island for a wedding. Now, the trip itself wasn't so bad...My friend set me up with one of her co-workers. I tried dating him a couple of times before hand. Wow... this is hard!
I'd have to say the last time I went on a choir tour with the Chamber Singers in high school. So many great memories... We drove to Arizona first... stopped in some small town for dinner and I met one of the most beautiful boys I've ever seen - will never forget him. We were in Arizona for a day or so - I remember the desert, and how clear the sky was and how dry the air was... Then we drove up to Oregon... I remember waking up as we entered the state and thinking I was seeing what heaven looked like. We stopped at Mount Hood for a day skiing - except that I didn't know how to ski; although there were lessons offered I opted to try to figure it out on my own. I was an avid roller- and ice-skater - I was thinking, "How hard could it be?" Finally made it down the bunny slope on my butt. :p
We stayed in the town of Hygiene, OR ("I wanna be a part of it - Hygiene, Hygieeeeeeene...") for two days and one night. I *loved* it there - we were lucky enough to stay with a family who had an alpaca farm, and were given alpaca-fur hats as gifts (wish I still had that hat! don't know what became of it). It snowed, something I'd had little experience with, real snow that fell from the sky and didn't melt within a couple hours... we *walked* in it! :O
Then we drove down to San Francisco for the rest of the week... spent the last few days staying at the Inn San Francisco (our choir director was friends with the owners and so we got a great deal), tanning in the tanning booth, jacuzzi'ing, eating yummy food at Fisherman's Wharf, being spoiled rotten... The rooms are gorgeous - it's an old Victorian mansion and the rooms are painted those wonderful colors that aren't pastels but aren't bright either...
I just remember how great it was to be with those people, and not have to worry about money or time or anything... Just so y'all know, the two monkey trips I've taken rank right up there, but just for the sheer carefreeness of that choir tour, I'd have to choose that as my favorite.

I honestly can't think of one... every trip I've ever taken has had more merits than bad moments.

Oh yeah... traditional newspaper personals, Great Expectations, phone personals, online stuff. Best experiences included meeting a really sexy Italian comedian who I ended up dating for a few months (but we ended things 'cos he was too busy trying to have a career), a psychologist who I picnicked with at a digital music concert at Stanford (game hens stuffed with rice; huge ripe peaches with an *amazing* Riesling for dessert) - I was too young for how quickly serious he got & I put an end to it (damn, I wish I knew then what I know now!).
Bad experiences happened because I was STOOOOOpid. All happened with the phone dating thing... The first - I talked to him a few times and he seemed sooo sweet that I broke my rule of only meeting guys at a nearby restaurant... he turned out to be a sickly, scary guy :eek:... I won't talk about the second because I can't believe how incredibly stupid I was... could have been very dangerous but somehow worked out. And the third... I had myself a little stalker action, but he was easily discouraged. *whew*

Plane ride to Airforce Boot Camp. I felt like I had sold my soul to the company store...man...I was having some serious "what the fark am I getting myself into here" thoughts the whole flight, and I felt totally alone. Once there I was just one nervous kid in a whole pack of them...all of us in the same boat so the "alone" feelings went away and I settled pretty easy into the routine.

Yes...all experiences were "ok". No "relationship" ever resulted. Longest experience with anyone was like 4 dates before we determined we were on different paths.

yes...putting buttons back on shite and sewing on patches was the eariest thing I remember, in my late teens in the military...first "thing" I ever made was a very nice bed liner for my pickup truck out of carpet scrap using dental floss for thread...it is 7 years old and still in great shape...comfy to sleep on and great padding for my telescope gear on road trips. First actual garment was my BB Band costume shirt and hat.

1) What's the best trip you've ever taken? Why? It was a church camp in Orr, Minnesota. During my two week stay, we did a backpacking/canoeing trip up into Canada. It was absolutely amazing on so many levels.

2) What's the worst trip you've ever taken? Why? One of the many druggie trips I took with my ex-boyfriend up to his hometown so he could hang out with his druggie friends and stay up all night being a druggie. It sucked.

3) Ever used a dating service? Best and worst experiences. Yes. Hmmm. Well, both relationships ended, so I don't know how good that could be. Actually, I met someone who ended up being a really great friend, then a boyfriend, then a great friend again. So that was a good experience. I've had a couple of bad experiences with lyin' dogs who would say anything just to have sex with me. Wasn't happening.

4) What's your favorite "urban legend"? It's really grose. I wouldn't actually call it a "favorite" but maybe the most disgustingly intriguing. The one where the lady uses a lobster as a sex object and then....

5) What do you think of "open relationships" (i.e., married but allowed to be physically intimate with others)? Would you feel differently if the marriage produced children? Not for me. I think there's always one person in the relationship who gets the short end of the stick. And if neither of you feels enough for the other to not want to share, what's the point of having the relationship?

6) Should we give criminals, if they are proven to be able to handle this level of responsibility, the option to serve in the armed forces to work off some of their "debt to society"? I don't know about the armed forces, but they should be doing something productive.

Don't really make any sense to me, emotionally. A friend of mine was in one for a time, but it was really a sham because it was just him being allowed to pursue other women and her being given the ultimatum to accept it or get dumped. Their relationship was a classic case of him continually maintaining her low self-esteem. Eventually she called his bluff. Eventually they separated.

hmm, i've had quite a few of them, the best was 3 weeks in the usa when i was 12, i went with my gran & she took me all over the place, disneyland, great america, universal studios... we went to LA, San francisco, & other places too but i can't remember where, anyway, i was spoilt rotten & it was brill!

I pay off my bills, with a big F*CK YOU enclosed to a certain credit card company. ;) I buy a new car. I prepay the rent for a year on a bigger apartment. I prepay my gym membership for the next 5 years. This takes 2 hours. At 10am, Six Flags Great America opens!!! My GBF & I go there & hit every roller coaster. For dinner we fly to NYC & meet up w/Ms NYC herself for martinis & steaks. Then we hit Chelsea w/my GBF.

Yes. When I was about 6. I sewed my own patches on my Girl Scout sash.

I have soo many.. but I think going to England last year was great. It was so amazing to see where my mum grew up. Oh yeah.. and all those Harry Potter sites were super fun.

I would have to say India because I was just so ill. It is a beautiful place, but if you go in the wrong places and eat the wrong food.. you could get really sick. I lost about 35 pounds, vomitted every other hour, and was certain that I had malaria. It was a neat experience though.. I look forward to going back.

hmm.. I have conflicting feelings.. but I don't think so.. when a person commits a cime.. he is essentially giving up a lot of things (i.e. voting) I think serving in the armed forces is a privilege

*I would either go to Toys R Us and buy all sorts of toys (to give to the orphanage)

*I would go to Costco and buy TONS of food (to give to homeless shelters)

Go buy nice warm sweaters and a bunch of food.. then I would go to the soup kitchen/shelter and cook food and give out clothes.

Yes I do know how to sew. I learned when I was fairly young.. 4 I believe.. I sewed various things for my grandmother.
