Male, 6'1", one sister, hazel eyes, brown hair, nothing under my bed 'cos it's a divan (not my choice, it's a scabby single college bed... time to invest in a king size perhaps, then someone might want to share it with me).

Do you have a passport? (curious to see how many Americans do).

i've got a suitcase and towels under my bed. and a pair of shoes.

and the thing i'm scared of is falling from a height great enough to have me break my neck, but not die. if i die, it's over. big deal. but if i just hurt myself, then there's pain, and that sucks. pain in general, s'ok. but falling pain... scares the begeesus out of me. ^_^

uhh...
and what do you collect? i collect Dr. Pepper cans.

NYC - trust me, i know and i'm digging it considerably. ;) there are enough clues out there to piece the puzzle together... i was going to answer the sex question as such:

sex? loud and bumpy.

first thing i notice? i notice hair colour first 'cause it's easy to see from a distance. love someone with blue or pink hair. gotta say, though, i go for personality more than anything. i can't bed ANYONE if i don't kick it with their pysche.

book? Stone Butch Blues. one of the best books i've EVER read.

question: what are you doing tonight?

most famous person?
um, i'd venture to say Augusto Boal, who to me, is like a GOD. he is the creator of Theatre of the Oppressed, a Brazilan politician, moved a revolution, was caught, tortured in a cell and still has a smile on his face all the time. the man is a genius.

but i've also met some guys from 311, Grasshopper Takeover, some guy from Moby, Dave Attell, um, the chick who played Cagney in Cagney and Lacy (i'm HORRIBLE with names), Jane Fonda...

crap, i can't remember. my memory is horrible.

female; 2 sisters (younger); brown hair; variable eye colors; 5'5"; there are drawers built in to the bottom of my bed, so most of my clothes are there; got a passport; afraid of boats; collect little pieces of paper upon which i've written such things as very important phone numbers with no names, addresses and directions to unknown places, lists of things i need to take to unknown events, my car and my desk are covered with them; would like to be a pig because i'd get to play in mud; usually notice what the person is carrying (LV duffle bag=gay, beer=hook-up?, faulkner novel=are you gay, would you like to marry me?); recently finished Milan Kundera's Immortality, currently enjoying Salman Rushdie's The Moor's Last Sigh; most famous person: prepared Jessica Simpson's transcript when she went to my high school (she needed it to go to NY to make a Christian album. three years later her album came out, and we were all "wtf?"), had physics class with Alexis Bledel (WB girl whose real name is Kimberly. Always thought it was funny that she was trying to go into acting or modeling because she always looked terrible at school...guess we all did as it was an all-girls school); tonight...I'm doing laundry!

what am i doing tonight? (or, what i did, since it was asked much earlier)

bunch of friends came over, we ordered in, drank and played the new 20th anniversary of Trivial Pursuit which we stunk up and abandoned to listen to music and get into conversations that aren't prim and proper enough for this board.

NYC i thought of you tonight. it seems Eminem was big enough a celebrity to be named three times on the trivia cards. each time i made an Appletini in your honour and quickly guzzled it. my mates are all smashed. i am still sober with a pitcher of martinis hoping to find something to do before i cash out for the evening.

um, most recent purchase? my Nike boxing shoes. dig 'em billions-much.

my question: what is on the books for Saturday?

(side note: it just goes to show how one's type can confuse a person as they deductively assign gender when reading. i originally thought DickieC a girl and Sask a guy. i love it when i'm wrong on those ;)

dickieC
11-23-2002, 07:31 AM
Oh no, not again.

Next thing I know, all the gay men will make eyes at me and women will think I'm a great friend, but just friends, OK?

Actually, sask, I thought you were a guy too. It took me 'til MoN's gender poll to figure it out. I think it's the nickname. Not that it's a bad one!! It's just seems like something a guy would choose.

sorry Sask. i know what i am. and i kinda get offended when people play that, because they are confused, i must be as well.

confusing people has been the least confusing thing in my life. its when i try to make things clear i begin to blur.

Well, this Saturday's over... I was going to go hear my friends' Spanish song recital, but like I said, my starter died. Waaah. Next Satuday I'll still be at my mom's for Thanksgiving; early afternoon I'll come back & make stuffed grape leaves to take to my friend's birthday party on Sunday.

A song called "Quiki In the Pocket" by a band called Megatron Bomb Squad (http://users3.ev1.net/~megatronbombsquad/) out of Austin, TX. Their bassist is a guy whose blog I visit regularly. Two different versions of Vivaldi's "Gloria".

Godiva's Chocolate Raspberry Truffle (*almost* better than sex)... Thrifty's Butter Pecan... homemade fresh peach... Haagen-Dazs Rum Raisin. I like ice cream. ;)

My question is: If money were no object, what one thing do you wish most for for Christmas (or whichever winter gift-giving holiday you celebrate)? And it can't be anything like "world peace" - it has to be something you'd personally use. 'Cos heck - we all want world peace. Duh.

I think mine would have to be a brand-new car (a convertible of some kind) with a lengthy warranty. I'm sick of dealing with used cars breaking down.

Hey, wanna know a secret about In and Out? I found this out the hard way....got my wallet stolen and didn't find out untill I got to the window. Apparently, In and Out is owned by someone very religious, if I remember correctly it is a Mormon owned business. Anywho, if you get to the window after ordering, and you don't have the cash to pay for it, they give you the food anyway. Any college student might find this information usefull. Their logic is that you will return as a "paying" customer. Shhhhh, it's a secret. Also, you can order a grilled cheese sammich, they arn't on the menu..but they are yummy!

Favorite flower: tulips. they produce these in really, really obtuse quantity in the Sakgit Valley, Washington near where I grew up. It's amazing to see the vibrant fields of them going on for miles and miles in full bloom right before they harvest the bulbs. Amazing red and white and yellow and every color stretched out for miles fading off into the foothills on one side and the ocean on the other. If you're ever in the state of Washington in April...
Desk fodder: I have quotes taped up all over. Two of my favorites:

"Kites fly highest against the wind" - Winston Churchill

"Dance like nobody's watching,
Sing like nobody's listening,
Work like you don't need the money,
Love like you've never been hurt...

this is a killer. i wish i could say (c) without a doubt, but i'm leaning towards (a).

when i was little i always thought i would die being shot by law enforcement during the start of a revolution. and my death would cause the people to revolt and change the world.

i feel so selfish picking (a) over (c). i'll have to think about this for awhile.

What do you strive for in your life:
of the choices, knowledge. the something else would be working for the common good. i'm a person for the people.

My question, since i already breached the subject:

How do you envision your death?
Me, a heroic cause, a disease that takes me before i'm 40, or when i'm ancient and have watched everything i've ever loved die before me. only the first isn't sad as all hell. the other are damn depressing.
