pays to work from home.
p.s. - I thought it was done down here in D.C. but I just glanced outside and we've got white out conditions. I can't see across the street!

We had like "a" flurry this morning, and my boyfriends all, "Let's go get sleds!" Like why, so we can drive 10 hours to Chicago so we can use them?

oh, no snow here in the bayou---i can't stand snow, so it's an even trade..... we had 13 inches of snow back in deliveranceland when i lived there and the city (well, city being a relative term) was shut down for a week..... down here, snow always melts and turns to ice overnight and no one needs ice on the streets..... just give me balmy winters and stifling summers anytime

oh never say never nyc... i have just never lived in a place where the locals could drive in winter weather (myself included)--- and in the south, our local gov't has no equipment to keep the ice off the streets, so it's more of a personal health hazard to have snow around than anything.....
of course, that whole southern thing might be a turn off as well, you never know
or the fact that i'm really a 13 year old girl posing as my lawyer dad

i thought mushie aka MoN was the bond of the board
now see, i love southern accents too, so we have that in common
and yes, i've been threatening to post my mug (and my bionic cat) for a while, but damn technical difficulties.... i'm stuck in 1995 with scanners and uploading and all that, but i'll get there.... maybe that'll be my new years resolution

the way beale keeps dodging the picture thing... maybe that IS a 13 year old girl lurking among us

don't be mean to the kid even if they are really a 47 year old lawyer. no snow here, warm and sunny warm and sunny 70 degrees. i really miss scraping ice off my windshield at 6 am to go to work.

You know, I'm beginning to think nyc's a romantic. Can't you just here the theme song in the background...
"Who can turn the world on with a smile
Who can take a nothing day
and sudenly make it all seem worth while...
... you're gonna make it after all.
meow"

hey, wait? when did it change from 'nekoland' to 'deliveranceland'??? that's not fair...
anyway... it's cold and foggy here. and has been all day. yesterday was the most miserable day of my life. it was cold, windy, rainy, and foggy. did i mention cold? and my piercings are fresh, and metal, and they absorb cold. which then sees fit to attack my ear. owwwwww....

My god, I haven't seen snow in years. Not since I was young enough to think that the greatest winter entertainment was building a snow fort and decorating it with water and food coloring sprayed from a squirt bottle.
Beale, I know what you're talking about with the ice thing. When I lived in Dallas we'd get those little snows that immediately melted and became ice overnight. Then they'd close school, and northerners would make fun of us. But come on, we don't have chains for our tires or salt trucks. Half the kids would have died on the ride to school. So we'd spend the day "ice skating" in our sneakers in the street...until the ice melted that afternoon.

What are seasons?

Sadly, my first crush was Jm J. Bullock. I didn't realize what was going on back then..

it still is for me. i build at least one snowman a year. when i was in high school my Forensics coach would write me hall passes to build snowmen outside the building.
and i love sledding. i live right by a golf course and the hills rock in the snow.
but, skiing is the best, and i can't wait until the first week of January.
