Frieda asked me to start a thread in her forum. I wanted to make it a good one, so here it is.
This is based on a book called "Simple Abundance". Every day, post five (more if you like, but no less) things that you're grateful for. It's okay to repeat, but not on the same day (for example, you can be grateful for your friends every day, but not five times on one day :p).

okay, five different things, but a chain of events:

- I was supposed to go to a meeting tonight
- I don't want to go to the meeting (it's not an essential deal, just a must-do as a future funding applicant type of thing that I keep putting off), and made no bones about not wanting to go
- I could only have gone to the meeting if I'd left oh, ten minutes ago
- Rat Man knew all of the above, and is still not here
- I think he's "working late" so I can't make it to the meeting with the ironclad excuse (for myself) of not being able to go due to lack of child care

Marriage is a wonderful thing! :D

You can't see the sparkly thread all that well, but I am so glad they arrived today. One grey, one taupe, one black, French gloves all with silver or gold thread interwoven, and all for ten bucks. Smelling like the inside of somebody's old trunk, and I'm going to wear them all winter to drive to work and back. I'm grateful for the mood boost.
