... but I can't see where to change the text under my name. Do I need more posts first or something? :confused:

No more stupid than any of us :)
Click on "user cp" at the top of this page, then click on "Edit Profile". Scroll down the page about 2/3rds of the way until you see "Custom User Text" under "Birthdate". There's a place where you can change your text. After you do that, click "Submit Modifications" at the bottom of the page.
That should work... ;)

If you select your birthday then other forum members will be able to see your birthday on the forum calendar and in your profile. Adding your year of birth is also optional. Month Day Year

Zyle, maybe it does depend on posts? I don't have a lot, though, and I've been able to change mine for a while now. There you go :) post like a madman.

Guys, I had my err.. word thingy up for a while. Maybe if Ze (pronounced "Zay") wanders around, he can help you!:)
I wanted to mention that, well, I was under the impression that Neko was in college, and in her first semester. This can only mean that she's approaching her first finals!!
Anyway, Neko, if any of this is correct, I wish you best of luck, and hope you can find old copies of finals, if need be:D

Actually, I forgot, I have a question, too
I like my avatar, but would like to give it a candy cane. Because it's linked from another page, I don't have it on my puter. The thing is, I don't remember where I origionally found it!
How do I retrieve the website from which my avatar came?

well you can save it to you hard drive by right clicking and doing "save picture as..."
or you can go to the User CP and go to the avatar part and see what the pathname in the avatar box is.
Think that's what you mean :p

zyle, i went through the same thing forever with changing the text--- even after i qualified as a 'member'.... i thought i was losing it (turns out i had already lost it), but after a little while, there it was-- it just suddenly appeared one day and i was able to change the text... just keep checking back periodically

yeah, that's where i got it--- it is more comedic/sarcastic than anything (plus, since i am hardly ever controversial, i figure it would be a way to get a rise out of someone)

I'm already feelin' pretty numb. My heater conked out awhile ago. I've tried to fix it, but I really can't take it apart anywhere without getting kerosene all over the place.
And the person who is supposed to help me with these sorts of issues is as about as available as a swedish bikini yoga master.
Yikes! I can see my breath. That's not good...
they central heating in my block has bust too, it makes a godawful noise all night and gets vaguely warm but not really, its FREEZING. I think it needs bleeding... whatever, as long as it's done by the time I come back in January. Only 2 more days to suffer it, then I'm going back to my nice warm house...
