I personally prefer "pant melons". But, I'm not sure if it is partially due to my love for pants and my love for melons, OR for my love of melon flavored pants. It is a conundrum that only time will solve.

cakes tend to go flat if you poke them prematurely when they are hot. i'm not sure i enjoy the imagery.
