locks of love...or my my hair is gone

yep....i got all of my hair cut off last night. My little sister had donated her hair to locks of love (http://www.locksoflove.org) last year and i decided that it was something i wanted to do. So yesterday I went to the salon and said goodbye to about 14 inches of hair :)

I feel so much lighter :)

i have bottomw layers that all flip out but you cant really see from the pic. My hair is kinda blending in with my black shirt. i didnt get it highlighted this time...but maybe neXt time... :)

I donated 11 inches september of '03.
don't worry, it'll grow back XD mine isn't at the length it was at yet, but it will be eventually...lol. at least it's long again XD (i think i need about 3.5 more inches for it to be "back").

Very generous of you Clytie. Did you feel about 5 pounds lighter? Short hair is so much easier to wash (and dry). There are some fun products out there to style with too. Good for you! And if you don't like it short, it'll grow back, right?

I've actually been thinking about doing that. Especially since it is about to be summer here in Arizona and it gets so hot. People tell me all the time that I should do it just cause I have a TON of hair. I have such thick hair. It's for a good cause, so I think I really might do it....

do it! you wont regret it. and if you go to a participating salon. they will give u the cut and style free! :)

Good for you, Clytie. Your hair looks great both lengths. About three months ago I had over 10 inches cut off. Unfortunately, I didn't realize at the time that I was gonna be saying "keep cutting..." so she cut it off in sections, therefore, useless for locks of love. But my hair seems to grow out pretty fast so I think I'll make sure that next time I wanna go shorter again, I'll just get it cut off in one fell swoop.
