I think this has been covered before, but I'm going to ask it again since I seem to be having an attack of senior-itis.

How can I post a custom avatar under my name? (Don't get me wrong, ze. The goose is cute, but I want to change it to something more suitable for me...)

Confused is,

Hey LadyCrow!

Well, you need a place to host your avatar - if you need help with this, PM me. (I think people have tried to upload avatars to the board & have been unsuccessful - but you can try that if you like.) Upload your avatar to some webspace where it can live while playing on the board.

Next, go under "User cp" up there at the top of the board; on the next page select "Edit options". Scroll down to the bottom of the page - I can't remember exactly what it says anymore (Mine says "Change Avatar" 'cos I've already got one) but it's probably something like "Use Avatar".

It will thank you for updating your profile - don't panic! It's taking you to the next page. :)

Scroll down about 1/3 of the way and select "Use custom avatar". There's a space to enter the URL of your avatar; this looks something like "http://www.LadyCrow.com/myavatar.jpg" or maybe "http://home.earthlink.net/~ladycrow/myavatar.gif". Alternately, you can try to upload your avatar from your hard disk to the board by clicking on "Browse" - you'll see files from your computer displayed in a window; browse to where your avatar is just like you'd do in Windows Explorer, then double click on the file to select it.) Click on "Submit modifications" and you should see your avatar displayed in your posts.

Please PM me if you have any questions - I like to help! :D
