H.fox asked me to post a thread about pants cos he was getting confused.
So please, anybody wishing to share their pants secrets; this is the place!

:)

Yayy! I think I'm partially responsible for the pantsiphilia. I have a thing for pants.

But my secrets about them, I will never tell.

Anyone with an ORG account can see and contribute to The FancyPants Project (http://www.zefrank.org/project/315/).

eta: don't miss the videos on there!

Here's a pic of one of my favorite pair. I like to call them my Tom Jones pants.

The pants I am wearing now are new. They are the second pair of pants I've bought since I've lost some weight. I haven't worn pants this size for more than six years.

Not a secret, but that is my happy pants story. :)

In other news:

Look what I found! So bright!

Here is my secret secret...I'm not wearing any.
It's too hot in here, especially for the tomatoes. They are not happy at all about it either.

Not happy about the heat....I don't believe that they have given any opinions about the whole "no pants" deal. I'll get back to you if they do.:D

but I heard scientists have recently been making great strides in pants

and wasn't it Samuel Johnston who once remarked "when a man is tired of pants, he is tired of life; for there is in pants all that life can afford."?

I would sell my soul for the pants that AllegroNg posted. *drool*

Ezra, thank you so much for posting a link to all things pants related! I am heartened to find so much pants-related fellowship.

Hfox, I think it's that the word "pants" is inherently funny. Think about it: "underpants" is much funnier than "underwear". And then there's the fact that in British English, "pants" equals "underpants". So pants jokes and references are an inevitable fact of the universe. They're an emergence (http://bulletin.zefrank.com/showpost.php?p=355040&postcount=79), and one as beautiful as any flock of birds or school of fish.

Lookit these:

How could one not want to get into them?

What I enjoy most about the tie is that it wouldn't be nearly as shocking without the plain orange pants.

Pants can mean bliss.
30+ years later I still recall the joy these pants gave me.

^Am I to assume from the kiltage in that video that pure and utter bliss, rather than being stripey bellbottomed pants or duct tape pants or stuffed animal pants, is in fact --

no pants?

12"razormix

no. you are not to assume.

actually it would be rather nice if you stopped.

thank you for your attention to this matter.

Billy Horschel wore octopus pants to play in the US Open.

Octopus. Pants.
Apparently they are only available as men's shorts and are $100. :(
I'm hoping for knockoffs very, very soon.

^^Thanks, Frieda, I took a look at them, lovely! Almost like a tattoo.
In the meantime, I found some fabric on Spoonflower (http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/808920) and have a skirt in mind.
