I called Jack in the Box today to compliment them on their good service at the location I've been going to pretty regularly, their new salads (the Greek salad is SLAMMIN'!) and to suggest a new kind of pannido sammie... the three they offer don't have any veggies (unless you specially request, like, lettuce) so I said it would be nice if they had a roasted veggies and cheese pannido -
It would have roasted peppers, onions, maybe some mushrooms, a little fresh basil, and be covered with melted provolone - the sauce on the bread would be basil mayonnaise.
mmmmmmmmmmmm..... I'll be the first one to buy it! :D

However - I did have an idea for a restaurant a few years ago... Who knows ;)

Yale Law School is an extraordinary community in which to study law. Our unmatched faculty-to-student ratio allows us to offer a vast array of courses, with an average class size of under 20 students. Easy student-faculty interaction is a hallmark of the school; students enjoy countless opportunities for research and writing with professors. Law students have access to scholars in all of Yale's departments, to the University's nine-million-volume library system, and to its cultural, social, intellectual, and athletic activities. At the same time, Yale Law School has ties to the city of New Haven, a small, lively urban center with several first-rate museums and the best pizza in America.

The other day I was listening to the radio and I started singing along to this new song that I really hate.
I started thinking, "At what point did I memorize this song? And what point did I start to know it? Because I can sing it the whole way through, and that is information I would rather not have taking up space in my brain."
So I talked to my sister, who's got a degree in early childhood education and knows all about how our brains learn things.
She said you only have to listen to something 14 times before you know it, whether you realize it or not.
Huh.
And that got me started thinking, for some reason, about how sometimes when you're sitting somewhere with the TV on for background noise, but you're not paying attention to what's on because you're reading a book or typing on the internet. And then someone on TV says your name, or your city, or some other word that catches your attention and you stop to pay attention and you realize that you could repeat back the 3 or 4 sentences BEFORE they said the word that got your attention - even though you weren't listening, you know what's going on. Your brain, somewhere in back, was paying attention all along.
Funny how the human brain works.

This (http://www.zefrank.com/bulletin/showthread.php?postid=173295#post173295) made me think I need to balance out karma a bit. It's also a way to say thank you all for your kindness.
I will do five (at the risk of increasing my flake factor, it is exhausting doing them, three typically is my max, but if you are patient and can wait a week or two, I will do the five). You can PM me if you are interested. Or you can post here and I will reply here, but I know this kind of thing tends to be personal.
All I need are three things: your (real) age, your hair color and your eye color. You don't have to tell me the question, it will come out anyhow. In fact I prefer that you don't because I don't want you thinking I'm precreating an answer. If you have an image online, please send me the link to it.
Spart and Av automatically get one if they want one because of personal things they're dealing with. If you're not interested ladies, it's fine, just let me know.
So first five to PM or post here, I'll do. Be warned though, I used to do this online for complete strangers and I'm very very accurate. I had one woman send me a cryptic email asking "What can you tell me about George." Turns out George was married and was never going to leave his wife. That's what the cards told me. I replied, and she flipped out. I got him down to his physical traits and personality.
If you send me a question because you want to know something specific specific, please be sure to indicate a time period in your question (because you could ask the question and it could happen 6 months from now or 6 years from now) and phrase it so it doesn't have a yes or no answer. For example, if you ask "Will I be rich?" -- instead change it to "Tell me about my life and wealth."
Also you want to ask the question that's closest to your heart. If you ask a false question and not the one that needs to be answered, it will come out anyhow.
If you want to post my reading to you at any time after you get it, feel free.
Ok, I guess that's it. Sorry, but I can't do more than five (7 including Av and Spart) ... because I write volumes in response to what I see.

The way things work, you can either be composed of 1 and 4 or 2 and 3. The price of 2 is 3 when you can't be 2, or 2 enough.

We're getting better with the new arena that just opened up last year.
Prince was here at the beginning of the year, Clapton played the week before last (I couldn't afford to go and when Vickie had enough money for tickets they were sold out!), VH is playing soon but I won't go simply because they ain't VH without DLR, and I think BB King is coming soon.
Tickets are so expensive, though, that it's still difficult to justify going.

His family has stopped emailing and phoning (but I'm really going to miss his sister, I adored her). He finally changed his passcode to his voicemail (which I really needed him to do because apparently I have no self control, and it was hurting me to check but I couldn't seem to stop myself -- he wouldn't change it because he kept leaving me messages) ... it's bittersweet, ya know? I know I need these things to get over it, it feels like a huge weight has finally been taken off my shoulders ... but it still leaves me melancholy.
At least I managed to understand why this breakup is hitting me harder than others ... I was pissed at myself that I was taking it so hard over some stupid guy who really didn't deserve my dedication and love ... but then I had an epiphany and realized the reason for the extreme emotion, and it all made sense.
Now to work through it.
Thank God I had you all here. Thank God. You may think I'm exagerating, but I'm not.

heh. :)
No way could you get me to pierce my tongue... it's just an ingrained, singer thing... no touching the teeth, the nose, or the tongue... hence, no piercings and no braces (not too happy about the latter, since it would be great to get work done on my uppers... oh well... )
i have a nose stud but it''s tiiiiny!

Hey Lala, what about Invisiline's? Spendy for sure, but a 'removable' option for teeth straightening. Just a thought :)

Not every band in the world is willing to let a piano accordion take center stage. Who is that?
Edited to add:
Whups! On closer inspection, it may be a button accordion. Still who is it?

Best piano accordian player I ever heard is a guy from Scotland named Phil Cunningham. He had a band with his brother John (Fiddle player) called Silly Wizard (http://www.harbourtownrecords.com/silly_wizard.html). He wrote some of the music used in the film Last of the Mohicans.
Best button accordion would be Jackie Daly. He plays with a band called Patrick Street (http://www.greenlinnet.com/artists/patstbio.htm). He's a legend in his own time!
