Me? I'm ok. I hate this time of year and am looking forward to the weekend. Which sounds like such a typical thing to say when one is working the 8-5, M-F shift, but it has become so true for me! :)

I'm alright. Just crampy, moody and overall yuckie! I've been helping a friend move. She has 5 kids. You would think they would help her? NO! They're all old enough too and they're brats! There was a friend of one of her children that was doing all the work. He road in my truck with me a few times. The more I asked about him I felt sooooo bad. He's 18 but you'd think 16. He's one of the few black people here in our predominantly caucasian town. He has absolutely no family here. I guess his brother coerced him into moving up here from Miami after not talking to him for 7 years. Few months after he moved up here his brother moved. So he's on his own. Nobody. Nothing. I had to go put air in my tire and he came along and he was so freaking polite and filled my tire for me so I asked him if he ate at all today. It was like 7pm. He said "nope." So I asked him if he wanted to go get some food and he said he had no money so I took him out. When we pulled up I asked if he wanted to eat inside or do the drive thru. He said drive thru. While we were eating we got on the topic of him being one of the few black people and he said "That's why I didn't want to eat inside. Everyone constantly stares." The more and more he told me about his life the more I felt bad. He had to quit school because he can't afford life without working full time and right now he doesn't even have a job. So he's got an interview with Sim's work for delivery crew today. I just hope he can get it.

WOE! Sorry about the babble. . . I guess I have diarrhea of the fingers today.

mmm, ok this weekend i made green tomato & shallot pickle with my unripened tomatoes from this summer & today i made some wholwheat walnut bread, I don't have any cheddar like cheese in the house so I decided to be daring & make myself a camenbert & pickle sarnie, OMG, yum.

I'm getting old. I hate that. I am really rebelling against getting older. All my friends are getting married and having kids, and there's no one left to party with anymore. Which some would take as a sign to stop partying, but NO!!! I'm not ready for the comforts of the domestic life.

And now I'm thinking about joining the Peace Corps after graduation from law school - I've already been accepted - but I'm thinking, "When I get back, I'll be twenty-seven!!! Way to miss the boat on the river-of-eligible-guys.
