I guess I was outside struggling not to breathe the Methyl Ethyl Chloride associated with the fiberglass, one of the dogs must have pushed open the screen door, and one of the chickens must have snuck in and had her way with my shoes.

Nico ripped out an inaccessable closet, and put in a wall of doors and drawers. But. The clothes hang down on the rods too low to put shoes under, so there are big drawers underneath where I throw all the tennies and boots. I do admit to leaving that drawer open, nothing more. I will post a pic later.
