I didn't find my other one, I have one of those one cup coffeemakers, its a Black and Decker travel coffeemaker, I sure am havin a hard time figurin out how to make ice tea with it tho, I'm goanna resort to actually boiling water and throwing the bags in pretty soon.

My mom had us buy her one of those $300 Porsche designed coffeemakers one year, freakin thing only makes COFFEE, GAWD! She was very happy, and was hinting that she'd like one for the cabin in GA, and I hinted that it fit in a suitcase.

I have one of those Gevalia free ones somewhere, Stevie gave me, but it was in a box in the studio before we packed it up, god only knows where that is. So I'll do the one cupper (which is all i drink anyway, only one MANDATORY) for now til I find it.

I have two of the Gevalia coffeemakers. I don't use either one. One is at Vickie's apt. and the other is at home so she has something to make coffee with when she's with me...
How did I get two? They sent me a flyer to the house and to a PO Box I had a while back. I figured it was worth a try and there they are! I also got a terrycloth bathrobe by having another application sent from the cabin in Balsam, NC!
Is that wrong? They offered, I accepted!

Damn Gevalia coffeemaker, couldnt find filters for it, used the tiny filter out of the one cup, Nico got coffee grounds everywhere, but he didn't see it, cause I didn't clean it out til i left. Might have to have a visit to the Mr Coffee store....I'll check out consumer reports and I'm sure you'all will have an opinion as to which one I should buy.

I had to buy a new printer too. damn. DeskJet 9650, I need the wide format to print posters. damn!

This morning I made it about 3/4 of the way to work when I heard what sounded like a semi...turned around and it was the Street Sweeper. stupidfarkingstreetsweeper. So I run back to find I parked on the wrong side of the street. No ticket yet *phew* I hate those things. I've paid enough of those for them to name a road after me. And do you think any of the pot holes where I live get fixed? Good Morning even though it's afternoon!
You never realize how dependent you are on A/C until it goes out for a night. Although the temp inside never got above 76 farenheit, having two full grown humans, two wet dogs, and a restless cat in the same house made for a humid and slightly uncomfortable night.
Power just came back on about a half hour ago and I am glad!
Gonna take a shower, run the dishwasher, and after the wind dies down a bit more, chase the dogs out of the laundry room. My yard is a mess and the inside of the house isn't that much better. The laundry room looks like a sandstorm hit it thanks to the dogs spending most of yesterday on the dirt floor of the greenhouse.
It'll take a while to get things back to normal and I'm not inclined to do so until we see what Ivan the Terrible wants to do.
So, we'll be Suburban Rustic for a while.

We spent a night without power thanks to a tree toppling onto a powerline at one end of our street!
The JEA workers must have worked like madmen all night as the tree was gone, power was back, and the power pole that got knocked down was back in place when I left for work.
From my clocks, I'd guess we were without power for about five hours. Not bad considering there are some places still without power from Charley!

Good Morning. I was walking to work and the weather wasn't hot or cold, there was no breeze, not a sound and a perfectly even gray cloud cover. For a minute I wondered if I was still back at home asleep. Then remembered I am just crazy and got over it. Then I thought, no, maybe I am still asleep. Well, it was mine til 3:25, we started workin on his words, and he pitched fit after fit, played with the dogs, changed the subject, argued, cried, whimpered and whined til he fell asleep on the floor of his room at 6:30. Speaking of which, Dana and I decided to start calling all those huge tour buses you see all over the Smokies "Geezer Transport Machines". They drive up to an overlook, welcome center, or roadside attraction and disgorge armies of old people. All of whom look totally disoriented when they get off the bus.
Hiked part of the Appalachian Trail that leads to a rock outcropping called Charlie's Bunion yesterday and when I got to the trailhead, there were four of those buses! I headed down the trail as fast as I could.
When I got back five hours later, there were four different buses there! Geezers are like ants up here right now!
Today is laundry day. Can I interest anyone in wild blueberry jam on toast?

7:30am Saturday morning. In case you didn't hear that right, I said SATURDAY morning aka no school, quiet house, let mom sleep awhile or else morning.

7:32a Mom dreaming peacefully of being fed grapes and getting toenails painted by Eddie Izzard and Vince Vaughn simultaneously.

7:33a Mom jolted from bliss by the sound of a dozen crows arguing in tree outside window. WTF??!!! Lies there hoping to fall back to sleep when they stop.

8:00a Crows STILL screaming, very unusual, Mom beginning to wonder if Indian ex-husband has sent them w/bad medicine heh.

8:02a Mom goes outside to have a chat w/crows. Counts at least 13 in tree, tells them how rude it is to argue that early in the morning and if she wanted to hear that crap she'd have woken her own kids.

8:04a Mom's wide awake now and pissy. Son named "Crow"sleeps quietly. Crows decide their work is done and all leave :rolleyes:

I had a great Friday. One of my favourite doctors called me to come for a meeting. He needs me to help him with a new drug study. I get his obese Diabetic patients. They are mine now. I get to use his offices to see his and my own clients. Woo Hoo!

The best part is that I will be in partnership with him and paid by him at the end of a 6 week period. Well, that gives me a 6 week grace period. I also get to work in the same medical building as 6 other Doctors. I may get more business out of them.

Spent a good part of yesterday cleaning water damage out of the building at work and will get to the outside today. We have to wait until the tide goes down so we can get near the river to collect the stuff that washed up.
Robert and I found an open hypodermic syringe after Frances. Good thing we work in a clinic. I got a sharps container and secured that sucka! Doesn't look like we have quite as much small trash this time, though, so we'll hope there aren't any surprises like that today.
Right now I'm gonna finish the last of the whole wheat biscuits and blueberry jam. No, you can't have any, there's only enough for one now, so nyah!
