There's an idea!
Unfortunately, they've decided to keep going through the day without water. How one can run a pediatric clinic without water is beyond me, but someone decided to give it a go.
Turns out they had closed off one pump last night as they worked on it. (Subcontractors) The one that was running had water continuing to circulate through it in a small loop, the motor kept getting hotter and hotter, began causing the water running through it to turn to steam. Enough pressure built up and BOOM!!!!!

My bf is quitting smoking so I'm pretty excited about that.

I only get to see him on Sundays and Mondays and he's always kind of grumpy (in a sweet "the world sucks" sort of way) so it hasn't been too bad. I think after they close the bar and he's waiting for the other employees to finish up, he smashes beer bottles to deal with it.

I suppose so. I tried quiting recently and I thought I was going to kill someone! It's hard when you work in a bar so I'm sure it's hard from him because of that too. I smoked for five years, quit, cold turkey, no problem for 5 five years and started again and that's the worst thing I could have done! I don't know why it was so easy for me to quit last time. Good luck to him. :)

Last time I whanged my back up like this the pain lasted for about a month. This was in spite of eating Flexiril like candy.
I don't use pain killers anymore as they just make me into a zombie and I end up hurting myself even more. Last chiro I went to told me that because my problem is related to arthritis and bone spurs on my lower vertebrae there wasn't anything he could do.
On the plus side, sleeping on the floor is working! Since Friday I've been able to sleep pain free! Woo-hoo! I might try sleeping in a bed tonight just to see if I can.
Thanks for all the concern, even if I can't implement your suggestions, it helps to know someone has sympathy for an old man. *creak*

My sister was in Paris for a week a while back. She had the flu the entire time she was there. Forced herself to go out and see the sights and have fun anyway and now she's only just getting better.

i use diclofenac and it doesnt make me drowsy, works very well for bone ache. maybe you can ask your doctor!

im soo hyper! tonite im goin with *j* to the Arb (a gorgeous park here in ann arbor) to watch a production of Midsummers Night Dream.. We will be traversing the trails of the Arboretum throughout the play...lounging on the edge of the woods watching the actors weave in and out of the gardens during the performance... *smiles* i cant wait!!!

an article in a local webzine about it:
Entering the Arb Peony Garden from Observatory, we were met by bed after
bed of peonies in full bloom and by recorder players and a lutenist,
dressed in Elizabethan costume, who played an overture of
sixteenth-century tunes.

As the scenes change, and the musicians led the way as the audience followed the characters into the woods. Fairies flitted among the trees ahead
of us as we followed the actors from one part of the wood to another to
see the clowns rehearse their play, the fairy queen wake and fall
foolishly in love with Bottom- the weaver, and the lovers get thoroughly
confused about who is in love with whom.

The Arb's Peony Garden and real woods, plus the camaraderie of the walks
between acts, gave the play a dimension that no stage set can match.
The actors performed with gusto and did a remarkable job of both speaking
with clarity and projecting their voices so that they could easily be
heard * no small feat in the open air. it was amaZing!

Great morning, the cutest little baby fox ran in front of my car this morning, I think he was just leaving home for the first time. He was so nervous and scared. I stopped my car and watched him run around for a while, it was a good way to start the day :)
