-back from a cold windy bike ride.

It is really odd to ride my bike with jacket and gloves on because it is 3 degrees out. (That's about 38 for those of you on Farenheit)

Now I have a cold face and the rest of me is melting.

(er i was) not working... Wed i stayed up talkin on the phone tooo late so i called into work (hey i only work 4 hours)
then i had the rest of the week off. i had a very depressing thursday with my grandparents. my grandfather has to have major eye surgery...he has cataracts...and he is diabetic...and he has a leaking wound on his leg. the reality of the bevity of life really hit me... so i spent all day with them. that was awesome. i love to hear stories about their childhood...their 20s...30s...40s... it was great...but sad.

so now its monday and im back at work. :)

Sorry to hear of your Grandfather's troubles, Clytie. He will be in my thoughts...
I'm also glad you had a chance to spend time with them! Grandparent's are Grand Parents!

i love them .. its really hard to watch .... they are slowly dying right in front of us. grandpa is goin blind and lame...he cant take care of grandma...he needs to be cared for himself...but he wont budge...wont give way to help to make himself well again...she is slowly slipping away too...unable to remember...parts of her are missing...she forgets...and then remembers only too late...she is stern and strong; stubborn wanting to do things for herself...but she cant...he wont budge...wont give way to help to make himself well again...they are fading...just like an old picture...
