Surprised by that. I read an article the other day that said the FDA is so lax about checking for Mad Cow that it's possible it's already widespread in the American population. What difference would letting you donate blood make?

Is that advice not to do it or is it a real rush?
I read in one of Hunter S. Thompson's books that he was in a drive in movie theater somewhere in Oregon once and they had a free blood pressure testing machine outside the consession stand.
He got a bright idea, and went inside and downed about ten scorching hot cups of coffee and then plunged his arm into the ice machine hopper.
He went outside and sat down at the blood pressure machine and it registered no pulse and no blood pressure. He said all the people there were totally amazed as he walked away.
Dunno if that's a true story or not. Knowing HST, it could be either...

Warm cream cheese to room temperature, chop finely. Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, add the finely chopped cream cheese. Let cool. Add Coke and cherry juice, mix well and let jell slightly. Add pecans, cherries and pineapple, mix well. Finish jelling. Do not use chopped pecans or home canned cherries or your kids will rename this to something disgusting
Hmmm...i don't think it would be the canned cherries or chopped pecans that would make this disgusting....

Thinking Spicy is right, we should make nachos the official food of zemonkeydom.
Still sleepy.
Getting ready to load the truck for our trip down to Orlando tomorrow. Sorry, no Disney World in the offing, just work...
Wondering how it is I've lived in Florida since 1953 and have *never* been to Disney World?
Thinking maybe that's a good thing...

... we went to Disneyworld in November 2003 and we had a total blast. It was great to act like a kid again. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
... thinking that might be a fun place for a monkeyfest. As long as we all invade the Oak Plantation (http://display.maxvr.com/expedia/propertymap.asp?hotelid=578925&nbrd=1) ... we stayed there last time and it was freakin' amazing -- hotel for a week, airfare AND car for about $400. The hot tub is fantastic as are the three pools. Click on the map areas for virtual tours of the suites, etc... (oh and our condo could sleep four, easy, so someone pays the $400 price and then two more people could crash out -- they only have to pay airfare there).
Then we all can go to Disneyworld or Epcot or Universal Studios.... Wheee!
