a simple "refresh" in preview mode usually works for me.

But in some cases it doesn't (quoted from an article in wikipedia):

Let this be a lesson guys..never post a pic and walk away..always ALWAYS check your photo or repost from image shack,tiny url, etc.

If you've already got the image in your browser's cache from when you viewed the image at its original location however, you're not going to see the substituted image, (as when www.snopes.com serves its green face) or the lack of an image (as when www.worth1000.com serves you nothing) until you refresh or clear the cache and reload the page.

Guys, I am SO SORRY.
The picture was meant to be a sleeping kitten, and I actually went back and looked at the thread after posting it but I didn't realise it would be cached. I usually check to make sure I don't get an 'image stolen' graphic but I know to refresh in future.
You're right, I was unreachable at the time because I was asleep and then out all day, and I don't usually use the computer on weekday mornings. This was the soonest I could be contacted.

Sorry again to anyone whose eyes were burnt out, at least you've got the rest of the Cute thread to help you recover ;)

I suppose it's not so bad, because I often see an interesting image and then go and check out the original site (if you right click on the image and go to properties you can find the image's location).
