I had a strange kind of dream last night - it seemed like a lucid dream where you are supposed to be in control (I haven't had one before) but I don't know if I was really in control or whether the control was just another part of the dream. Maybe I dreamt I was dreaming - lucid dreaming. There was this rock and I put my lips to it and it was warm like I meant it to be, but why on earth, if was really in control of this dream, would I choose to use my control to make a rock warm to my lips? That's just stupid.

I dreamt a large group of local and monkey friends and I were trying to get to a party in a large abandoned bunker on the coast. I and one other friend jumped into my old Ford van and headed down the road to the party before we realized we had no clue where it was...or even what city we were in. But we spotted a VW bug loaded with all the other party goers (around a dozen were packed in the bug)...I offered to transfer some of them into my nearly empty van but everyone looked at me like I was nuts for making the suggestion.

This dream is from the other night:
I had a dream that my friend Charlie had about a dozen baby tigers. I took 6 of them home with me and they were so cute and tiny and I was so excited to have 6 baby tigers to raise. After a few hours of having them I started to realize the impracticality of having 6 tigers in the city. I realized how expensive it was going to be to feed them raw meat everyday and to keep them in an environment where they couldn't get into trouble. I called my aunt (who raises and trains Border Collies) to see if she had any advice for me, but she didn't answer so I left a message. I started getting really concerned when 3 or 4 of the tigers started looking at one of my house cats like they were going to attack it. The baby tigers were really the size of baby kittens and the cat they were stalking is my big orange one, quite a bit larger than the tigers.
That's all the details I remember, but it was such a different dream from what I normally have.

Mind you, I've had border collie pups who were a lot like baby tigers...

Hot from the pillow: I just dreamt I was travelling in Japan and was talking to some people in a three way huddle. And one of them wanted to know when I would be coming to some place. I said I had booked in to spend a few more days in Tokyo. And the person enthusiastically said "Gatsun?!?" I didn't know what that meant, and looked over to the other person who was some kind of young female tour leader. "A geokan?" she offered. "Oh, a ryokan!" I said. wake.

I had a dream the other night that zero was the front man of a rock band (http://www.zefrank.com/bulletin/showpost.php?p=292700&postcount=12), sort of goth/punk/alternative thing. He was pretty good. :)

Pope
To see a pope in your dream, represents your spiritual guidance, beliefs, and spiritual self. The dream serves to be an inspiration. Alternatively, it may indicate your own self-righteousness, narrow-mindedness, and holier-than-thou attitudes.

Here's a weird one... Lately, I keep having dreams where I'm not me - not just that I'm not the subject, but I'm someone else.
Last night I dreamed I was a young man in love with a Latina. Her father hated me. I was in her bedroom - we weren't doing anything sexual, just having fun, goofing around. Something goes wrong - I do something clumsy, which kills her. The next thing I know, I'm dumping her body in a huge trash can - then I go back to her room and I'm looking around her room, trying to find things to put in a backpack to take with me, because of course I have to run and hide - and I'm finding things (can't remember what they were) and putting them in. It does occur to me that maybe it's not a very loving thing to do to dump her body in a trash can, but it's not that I don't love her (at least this is what I tell myself). Then her mother, who likes me a lot, comes home - she doesn't seem surprised to see me there, even though if the girl's father came home and saw me there, he'd fly into a rage. She asks where the girl is (she says her name but I don't know what that name was) and I say, oh, she went out to find her father to give him something. Then I go back up to her bedroom in a cold sweat, trying to figure out how I'm going to get out of there with the backpack.
I finally woke up - feeling like, oh, thank GOD it's not really happening - forget the horror of the girl's parents finding her body in a trash can - but what the hell??? I would *never* do that - I'd be calling 911... well, except that when you're a teenager, you might do irresponsible things to avoid being caught...
Anyway. Not sure why I'm having dreams where I'm someone else, especially a someone who behaves very differently than I would... Maybe I'm showing myself movies?

two nights ago i dreamed i was assigned the job of writing an episode of VH1's "behind the music" about the band "they might be giants." only i don't know anything about they might be giants, aside from the fact that they had an album called flood. and i think they might have done the theme song to "malcom in the middle." so the dream was basically me just making up complete and total fiction and trying to convincingly play it off as a biopic of a band i've never listened to. i was pretty sure the final product would get me fired but i woke up before the episode aired.

its all about ANGST
and that's still YOUR angst. when people you don't know appear in your dreams, the brain places the fear outside yourself to get an easier grip on it all (movie-style, less intrusive emotions).

I was wondering if the people in my dream represented parts of my personality or psyche... It was so vivid & memorable - I'm going to be thinking about it awhile!
I guess I am worried about some things (who isn't? ) but the thing that was puzzling was that I kept being "not myself" in these dreams... I'm always somebody else, living someone else's life, doing things I wouldn't and/or wouldn't want to do. Strange. (I'm pretty happy with my life right now, so that's a little weird!)

dreams are strange. we send people to the moon, but keep being puzzled by our dreams. how do they happen, what do they mean, etc :)

Yeah - eventually I'll get around to being interested in something other than what goes on in my own head... :p :D
