Lyrics by Raffi

BOOP BOO BA DOO BA DOOP!
BOOP BOO BA DOO BA DOOP!

Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring - Banana phone
Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring - Banana phone

I've got this feeling, so appealing
For us to get together, and sing, sing!

Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring - Banana phone
Ding dong ding dong ding dong ding - Danana phone

It grows in bunches, I've got my hunches
It's the best, beats the rest,
cellular, modular, interactive-odular

Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring - Banana phone
BOOP BOO BA DOO BA DOOP!
Ping pong ping pong ping pong ping - Panana phone

It's no baloney, it ain't a phony
My cellular, bananular phone

Don't need quarters, don't need dimes,
to call a friend of mine.

Don't need computer or TV to have a real good time.
I'll call for pizza, I'll call my cat,
I'll call the white house and have a chat,
I'll place a call around the world,
operator get me Beijing jing jing jing.

Yes!

Play that thing!

Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring - Banana phone
BOOP BOO BA DOO BA DOOP!
Ying yang ying yang ying yang ying - Yanana phone

It's real live momma-and-poppa-phone,
a brother and sister and a dog-o-phone,
a grandpa phone and a grandma phone,
My cellular, bananular phone!

Banana phone - Ring, ring ring.
It's a phone with a peel!

Banana phone - Ring, ring ring.
Now you can have your phone and eat it too!

Banana phone! - Ring, ring ring.
This song drives me ..(insane)

Banana phone! - Ring, ring ring.

BOOP BOO BA DOO BA DOOP!

^ Ooh! Ooh! Optics!

I'm trying to remember whether those are photons or electrons, but it's not going to well.

it's an interference pattern. does that help jog your memory?

Either photons or electrons will work (http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/phy00/phy00713.htm). That's one of the reasons it's so interesting to me. Light and matter are functionally the same when you look very closely. Hrm. Methinks this has something to do with zombies...

Dr. Quantum would love to explain it to you. Not that it will do any good. It certainly doesn't help me any to think I understand it. :)

If I remember correctly, there was a quantum-themed issue of Scientific American in which a writer described a "do-it-yourself double-slit experiment".

*runs off to search frantically through bookshelf*

Thanks brightpearl! I'm all excited about this. :D

1. Find 2 doors separated by at least 2 metres of adjacent wall.
2. Ensure both doors are in the "open" position.
3. Position oneself directly facing the wall between the 2 doors, allow plenty of space for you wave function to expand.
4. Close eyes (this is very important - if you make an observation of yourself too soon it won't work).
5. Run
6. See which door you went through.

I followed your directions exactly Hfox, but I kept my eyes closed the whole time and interfered with the wall instead of myself. I hope you're happy.

Non Physics Major: "Cmon! Answer me once and for all: Is it a PARTICLE or is it a WAVE????"

Physics Major: "Are you watching?"

NPM: "Well, yes"

PM: "Then it's a particle."

NPM: "HAHA FOOLED YOU! MY EYES WERE CLOSED"

PM: "Mine were open. So it was a particle for me."
