View Full Version : I AM TOTALLY INTERACTING WITH YOU GUYS RIGHT NOW

Well, hmmm, it was funny to me.
I was giving testimony in court, and on a couple of occasions used the phrase "playground argot." It was the most concise phrase for the job. The defense lawyer found this immensely distressing for some reason, repeated the phrase back to me in mocking tones, and got that puffed-out, hyperalert look that inadequate men get when women threaten them. His questioning grew sarcastic and snarky in flavour.
Finally, he directed me to review some document or other with him for the record. We went through page after page, checking something or other. His big moment came at last, and he said with an air of glistening triumph:
"Now, let us turn to the PENULTIMATE page..."
I actually chuckled out loud.
because it was actually the last page!! right!?
those daftie lawyers! they always seem to get their "lasts" and their second-lasts mixed up
beale & garfieldby & surbhi are forever doing that - have you noticed?!!

i don't use dictionary words in court or depositions because i don't know any. it's difficult enough using proper grammar and not throwing out some form of "fvck" while in court
you mean prepositions, right? not depostions.
great to interact w/you today btw
bealeblues

no, i mean depositions. i use plenty of prepositions.
and nice to be back interacting, btw. my temperment has improved recently.

bealeblues
10-20-2005, 07:03 PM

All right. You are all now on my buddy list. I feel so much closer to each of you.
I would love to interact, even.
But I can't stay on. Apparently, my "chicken is getting cold."
This may be code for something else.
This is a pretend interaction only. Repeat - pretend interaction only.

Is letting you guys know I HAVE to get supper, interacting?
Later.
The other night, I confessed that my dinner beckoned which it did, but I believe it was interaction because I was communicating to those whom I was interacting.
Ok, I ate. Let's interact, folks, come on, now.. Are you there?
Jack Flanders

I was only there because I'm longtime friends with one of the guys in the band. The Blackburn didn't strike me as the kind of place I'd log a lot of hours. If I lived where you do, being home would be fine with me! Looked like quite a location.
I was only there at night, so I really didn't get to see the ocean from there, but I have been to Salem and Ogunquit bunches of times. Gloucester's next on my to-see list. (ya can't really count the inside of a noisy bar as 'seeing' a town, heh.)

Marine Corps brat whose parents settled in New England. I was an innocent unschooled little Down Easta minding my own business when at the age of fifteen I was callously kidnapped by my own parents and forced to
move to Lubbock, Texas. Completely flat, remarkable only for the tornado warnings, the fact that it routinely rained mud, and the smell of the stockyard drifting through my back yard. There I met people content to stay where they were for the rest of their lives because they were afraid that if they actually travelled and saw where other people lived, they would realize what a complete and utter pit they lived in. I determined never to become like those good folks.
I've also hung out with people who like to travel too, married an Air Force brat who had been saving for a trip to India when he met me but blew all the money on courting me. We've been trying to make up for it ever since.

you guys must be doing something wrong - make sure yours settings are set to "allow sweeties" that should work but if it doesnie, keep trying anyway and you'll eventually get the hang of this interacting thing
