Fondue Dunkage Materials for Posh Folk.
By Miss Karma Queen

Proper fondue dunking foodstuffs for the elite include hard boiled quail eggs, slices of smoked sausage, morsels of roasted chicken and cooked shrimp or prawn. Pieces of stale bread should only be used in a real fondue emergency, such as during harsh winters or during public holidays, when food shops are likely to be closed. It is important to remember your fondue etiquette during fondue eating situations: never let your tongue touch your fondue fork (this may contaminate the fondue), and take care not to let your dunking foodstuff fall into the fondue.

I got a huge happy when I tried out one of those instant photo booths with my girlfriend. You sneak up on someone with one in your hand. If you are six, the best person is your mom. Your mom will inexplicably not hear you tiptoeing like a diplodocus across the living room, giggling. You creep ever closer to your prey, pouncing at just the right moment, crushing the cascaron over mom's head and squashing enough confetti into her hair that she'll still be brushing it out a week later.

Brushing confetti out of my hair also gives me a happy.

Upon entering my English classroom this morning, I was greeted with two full color posters:

-The first was all about AIDS, detailing both the types of transmissions of bodily fluids that can result in acquiring the disease and how one can have safe sex.

-The second listed the major types of STIs and STDs (once again, in full color! With detailed descriptions!) and the severity of each.

I burst out laughing when I saw the new decorations, which now inhabit the space usually reserved for essays, and when I asked my teacher why (the fvck)* he had put them up, he replied, "I thought it might be useful."

of all of the members of the blue cheese family, stilton ranks highest on the aromatherapeutic scale for evoking a sense of well-being and optimism. the scent resonates with the swadhisthana chakra, which is why the sacral symbol is most frequently depicted as a block of stilton blue surrounded by six petals. when bathing with blue cheese, always remember to follow with an acidulated rinse, perhaps in the form of a light balsamic vinaigrette. garnish to taste with walnuts and raisins.

INVENTORS have created a soap infused with caffeine which is said to help users wake up in the morning.

Shower Shock supplies the caffeine equivalent of two cups of coffee per wash.

The scented stimulant is absorbed naturally through the skin, according to its manufacturers, who say it is designed for people who don't have enough time for a cup of coffee in the morning.

The soap is available on the internet.

Actually, we need a "this makes me ecstatic" thread for this one.

NEW YORK - Spinal Tap is back, and this time the band wants to help save the world from global warming.
<snip>
"They're not that environmentally conscious, but they've heard of global warming," said Reiner, whose other films include "When Harry Met Sally" and "Stand By Me." "Nigel thought it was just because he was wearing too much clothing — that if he just took his jacket off it would be cooler."

For the band — whose last album was 1992's "Break like the Wind" — the occasion warranted a new single: "Warmer Than Hell."

Reiner provided a sneak peak at the lyrics: "The devil went to Devon, it felt like the fourth degree/ He said, `Is it hot in here, or is it only me?'"

The director said the new short film explains what the band has been doing with their lives lately. Nigel has been raising miniature horses to race, but can't find jockeys small enough to ride them; David is now a hip-hop producer who also runs a colonic clinic; and Derek is in rehab for addiction to the Internet.

my bicycle gives me, and many passers-by, a happy.

it's called 'sprick economic' which is quite apt.

I just finished making a double batch of salsa by hand (including all chopping; I hate my food processor), and butter chicken, and picked up some fresh naan and jelabi. happy happy happy I'll even share with cj but don't spill it on your bicycle ;)

Sounds delicious, trisherina...

this gave me a happy, today. it was written by my 11-year old cousin:

The River

The drip, drip, drip
Of the melting snow
Feeds the river
That once was
Low.
Now it
Gushes
Rushes
Sploshes
Splashes
Bashes
Dances
Against the
Muddy banks.
And 'bove it all,
The waterfall,
Booming,
Crashing,
Down the
Towering cliffs.

You know what's good?

Indian food. Indian food is really good. Especially if there's paneer in it.

And also, I don't know why, but I think this is funny:

why can't they just play the last penalty bit, and call that the game? it was suchhhh a long game, and i didn't understand a bit of it. but the penalty bits, i like.

or, why don't they just play for 10 minutes, then multiply by 9?... girl logic...
