She was funny and made the parodies work. I saw her on a talk show one time and the host was goofing around with the food. She was hysterical! Dan Akroyd did the best impression of her.

Ya know what tho'? With all the freakin' weird diets out there - this is a woman who cooked with butter and cream, wrote a book about bread - didn't skimp on anything (French style) and died at age 91, peacefully, in her sleep.

Take that, Atkins and anyone else who tries to convince you that anything but good exercise is the way to health. :p

CNN did report she reduced her intake at the age of 40 and she said she had good genes. I'd call them lucky genes.
