brightpearl 12-01-2007 06:09 PM

^oooh, tricky, but I'm improving.

I like this site www.eyemaze.com
It's not very well organized, but there's a list of games over on the left, most of which are some form of Grow. I particularly enjoy this one Grow Island...if you click in a certain order, all manner of funny business goes on.

Tunesmith 12-04-2007 09:55 PM

Samorost

it means "driftwood" in Czech :)

brightpearl 12-05-2007 09:15 AM

^gorgeous, my son loves it too

Tunesmith 12-16-2007 08:22 PM

^ I showed it to the kids I was babysitting for last night, and they sat transfixed for an hour. :)

Check out the sequel, it's almost as good.

brightpearl 12-17-2007 04:38 PM

Brynn 02-02-2008 11:31 PM

with a little touch of George Clooney romantic comedy thrown in
itsa verrra nice

brightpearl 02-02-2008 11:49 PM

^Reminds me of the soundtrack to the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair.
(this is a total spoiler, btw, don't watch if you haven't seen it)

Frieda 02-03-2008 06:54 AM

that chain factor game is too addictive-- i play too long and then when i stop playing i notice the world has square shapes everywhere. my brain plays tricks on me!

the music is too hypnotic actually.
when I think of all the works of genius, the letters, the housecleaning, the job applications i could be writing.

it makes me think of spring and newspapers

trisherina 02-03-2008 12:30 PM

That is some unusual game background music. It sounds like something you'd hear in an adult education elearning module. My big current timewasters are still Rock Band and now head-to-head Puzzle Quest, but you never know when something like this could find a void to fill.

falling sands game

trisherina 03-18-2008 09:51 AM

^^ rat man plays that for hours and hours

YsaPur EsChomuw 03-18-2008 11:48 AM

http://www.channel4.com/history/micr...nner/game.html

"Bow Street Runner" is set in Londonís Covent Garden in the 1750s and depicts a time when crime and vice in the city had hit such levels that the locals magistrates began to introduce the first instances of physical policing of law and order. Each episode of the game will lead the player to explore different crime scenes, collecting evidence, solving puzzles, interviewing characters and presenting the case to the magistrate for judgement.
This game is based on the Channel 4 five-part series "City of Vice".
Bow Street Runner is designed to be historically accurate and therefore
the gameís content and its setting may not be suitable for
younger players

chain factor: 208,120 + 4:07 am = droopy next day minus any real work

I hat that game.
I suck tiny rubbishy booklet bits at it.

Okay. Here's one more my speed that I happen to excel in because it's for elementary school children - if il ratletto plays falling sands, I'm sure he plays this one on the same site. I'm sorry to say that it keeps me happy for hours, planting opium, dancing for tourists, hosting paramilitary troops and solving the world's ills one elephant at a time:
3rd world farmer

Neat.

trisherina 05-13-2008 01:54 AM

Fact: Only 3.97% of all level 12 games have won

Hyakujo's Fox 05-15-2008 07:02 AM

^ I just wish I could believe there was some skill involved

trisherina 05-15-2008 09:45 AM

^It's under "dumb" and makes tinkly noises, whaddya think?

Hyakujo's Fox 05-15-2008 09:17 PM

^ I still refuse to accept defeat.

brightpearl 05-15-2008 09:31 PM

try this one then

Brynn 06-06-2008 04:38 PM

Little tinkly dots game -I went all the way to level twelve and completed it the first time - it was entirely by accident. i haven't been able to win since, but i like it anyway.

Escaping from the kitchen is frustrating. what do the dog and the bird have to do with it??? Once i fill the pitcher with water and plug it in, I can't get it over to the bowl with the fish in it. And nothing happens when I drag anything and everything on top of everything else  I'm stupid!

brightpearl 06-06-2008 06:04 PM

rollover for a spoiler....You have to click on the parrot's tail to get a feather, and then tickle somebody's nose with it. And after you plug in the kettle, you have to turn on the teeny switch on the pitcher so that it gets to steaming. To make things with the parts, click on the little hammer in the top left.
:)

Hyakujo's Fox 06-06-2008 10:49 PM

oh yeah I got out of there :)

Brynn 06-07-2008 09:34 PM

smartypants.
Geez Louise, finally! I had given up on the >bird < thanks :)

Brynn 06-18-2008 06:30 PM
