clitocybe - geek-jargon. Acronym for "Command Line Interface TO Cover Your Behind Evermore".

New java-based GUIs are now being added to the most rudimentary sysadmin tasks in an attempt to make them more accessible to less experienced personnel. Unfortunately they generally don't give access to all the functions available from the command line nor are they auditable.

This phrase has therefore popped up in many large environments as a way to say "show us your real chops, and not just that gui stuff you learned in the class".
