I made some wicked dinners this weekend, as Minerva (my comp) was a sick little girl and need some backing up of her files. She needed me to stay home and keep her company.

Sat: (Tried for steak- no good cuts in the store, so I went for salmon.) Seared salmon marinated in soy sauce, garlic and mirin (sake), Steamed asparagus and Ginger Eggplant in miso sauce with toasted sesame seeds.

Sun: Fetticine with a light cream sauce, mushrooms, pine nuts and fresh tomatoes on top. Red wine. Chocolate covered raisins for dessert.

mmmmm

tonight is just some yakitori and rice- no time to cook during my dinner break of teaching.

I love cooking.

me three, saturday night was tuna fish mashed with mayo in a crappy plastic bowl whilst sitting on the stairs with cheap wine and friends. yummy.

man.... I *totally* forgot to eat yesterday!!!
I was out on my walk, feeling a little weak, and then it hit me - all I'd had was coffee & a few bites of rice in the a.m....
So I had a bagel & neufchatel with sliced tomatoes at about 11 pm... yum.

But! The night before, I had a great dinner - broiled fresh albacore seasoned with adobo, with Spanish rice, fresh steamed broccoli, and Carribean black beans... tasty and nutritious. :D

I have a question. If y'all were planning a seduction dinner what would be on the menu? (no roadkill please) All i can think of is chocolate covered strawberries which really do not make a whole meal. and no oysters (don't eat bait)

noxxville 02-04-2003 05:06 PM

Minus roadkill.....i really don't think it matters too much what's on the menu as long as the presentation is done right. That's where you make your money. The right setting, the right lighting, the right arrangement of food with the proper compliments for drinks and desserts. It's all about the presentation.
