My heart still skips when I think about this guy, total high school crush.

Met when him and a friend pulled up next to us in traffic and asked if there were any parties going on. (I lived in a small airforce base town and he was a GI) We were going to a bonfire and so they followed.
Long story short, we never dated I was always completely in love, we were the best of friends and I think at the time age was a big issue he was 21 when I was 18.
He would visit frequently during my first year of college, then he was finished with the airforce and moved back to Georgia.
We still keep in touch, he got married in 98, I still have the same feelings.

I still like to think that somewhere down the line something could happen.............

Now I am sad. :( I will probably be thinking of him all day now!

When i was a sophomore in high school i was in love with one of my brother's friends. i don't think he would ever have noticed me except that he was in my algebra class and after he found out i was smart i spent the rest of the school year letting him copy my homework so he wouldn't flunk.i got an A but i never got him.

Anyone remember Stuart Francis? He crushed a grape once. Geddit?

Mine was Sam. Met him in the sixth grade, went in to buy gum and came out to him riding around on my bike. I was pissed, but at the same time, felt something I had never felt before. This boy was a cutie. Must not admit this. The banter began.

Saw him a couple times over the next few years, always involved something to do with him "taking" something of mine. We went to different schools so I didn't get to see him too often.

Fast forward first day of high school, 5th period study hall, oh my god, to my amazement he was in the same period and not only that he sat right behind me. I thought I would die, seriously. Hair tugging, note passing and all began. I was over the moon.

Out of school one morning and came back, 5th period study hall, no braces. Got note "would you be my girlfriend" along with first invite to dance. After dance received first kiss. AMAZING. Great kiss, still ranks up there.

Together for quite a while after that, always felt a pang in my tummy for him. He's married and has a kid, never feel sad about that because he was my first boyfriend and that's all it was meant to be. Nothing more, nothing less. But I smile everytime I think of him.

It was fun.

my crushes tend to be the same..

Like someone for a long spell.
If I'm lucky, have a chance to test the waters.
Enter someone else.
I move on.

Fortunately, I've only had a few crushes.
They can be a little crushing.

My crushes in the past always ended up messing me up bad.
I've always tended to fall for guys who wouldn't take me seriously... when I was young I guess I had this sort of innocent look (my friends joked that I looked like Snow White) that belied my true nature. :) (I know at least one zemonkey who can relate...)

(I'm going to be the only one who posts about an adult crush! :D)

I met this man when I was working as a waitress about a year before I went back to college. Went up to his table & got socked in the gut (& various other places) by his eyes - he asked me for a beer to go with his burger & I was so dazed I actually carded him (even tho' he was obviously in his thirties). Very tall (about 6' 5") muscular dark blond with one of the most interesting faces I've ever seen; low, rumbly voice, glowing gold-green eyes and a mouth that looked like it could do serious damage.
We ended up chatting a little bit; it turned out he was the general manager for a night club/restaurant nearby.
I went down two days later & applied for a job as a cocktail waitress; got in; spent the next 6 months or so in various situations involving him knowing how I felt but not wanting to "take advantage of me" (I was 21 at the time); still knocked out by the memories - being at parties with him, dancing with him... sharing a joint in front of my apartment after he gave me a ride home... probably the most sexually frustrating crush I've ever had...
Once, I saw him take a belligerent bar patron, mid-brawl, throw him over his shoulder, and take him outside...
Wonder what he's up to now. :)

He's two years younger than I am. I've known him a little longer than two years. I was hooked the first time I talked to him. He was a villan, always stirring up trouble between folk. He'd argue politics with everyone and out dialogue them until they just couldn't dismiss his points with their own. He respects peoples' opinions, but likes the shaking and stirring process, he likes getting people outside of themselves.

We talk about everything...anything. Pirates come up a lot in our conversations...so do weird dreams. I dream about him all the time. I mentioned one time to him that I had felt *that* way about him once. That all those dreams had been the accumulation and proclimation of what my feelings for him had been in the beginning. He doesn't know I still have those dreams. Most of them these days entail him crushing me. Damn these insecurities.

Anyway, he's friendly as all hell. Personable, too. He's an encouraging fellow. He's got this big smile, not big teeth, just a lot of smile. It makes up for how skinny he is. He has a no-butt...I laugh at it. I'm glad he's my friend. I wish he'd wake up, but I'm okay with being his friend.

Damn, I love that guy.

It is a guy I work with. Not even NYC knows about this.

I've had a crush on him since the day he interviewed here. He's a year and a half older than me, a Capricorn & was engaged the day he interviewed & is now married to his size 2 wifey-poo.

He's my physical ideal--everything I like in a man--brown eyes, dark dark dark brown almost black hair, wears a suit & tie every day, clean cut but had a goatee when he started here, could be a little taller, but for the most part, I would hear that song from Ferris Bueller in my head whenever I saw him.

Ohhhhhhh yeeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh

*bomp bomp chick chicka chicka*

I acted like a f***ing dork around him for about a year and a half. Then I watched Mystic Pizza one night & realized something--I was acting around him like the chick who schtupped the man she was babysitting for. He's only a man, and a married man @ that. He still has his nickname (Mr Cute Buns) b/c there are about 10 people in this office w/the same first name, one of them a very good friend of mine.

It's so nice to have fine eye candy. *oinks*

dickieC 03-04-2003 05:38 PM

What's this? Another friend of NYC infiltrates the board?

Are you Canadian too? Just curious?
