appreciation
I'm coming out of the wood work to express my appreciation for Ze. His creative spirit and for having this forum to begin with.
I started here back in the early days...since what, 2002??? I always enjoyed coming here, and participating in the exchanges, or for just popping my head in and smelling the cookies. I don't know what happened to cause this change.... I'm sure Ze has his reasons. This is one of the only places that has continued since the beginning... we watched as Ze posted new videos, tested out new projects... and even stayed on as Zemonkeys and a new race of ducks appeared. We watched the Show and was sad to see it end. But we always had this place. I've seen wondrous things here. I've seen not-so-wonderous things here. But this place has always been here, and I hope it stays that way. Best, Tina |
Hear, hear!
Has anyone looked into splitting the cost of keeping this place running? |
Open comments to ze...
I'm proud to say that I've been a zemonkey for the last 4+ years. Granted, I haven't posted as much as when I first started to, but I've always kept an "eye" on things (either to lurk or post a few threads here & there). Other than the overhaul the board experienced a while ago, I truly feel that this board has been one of the only constants in this ever-changing insanity called the internet.
I've had a lot of fun here, & have "met" many cool people. Ze, I sincerely hope that you won't shut the board down. But, if this is a decision that you feel that you need to make, I'll support what you decide to do. ![]() |
I've said what needs saying privately, but I'd like to express my appreciation to TinaBina for starting this thread.
I used to take it for granted that things go this way, in this order: feeling of generosity -->giving->gratitude -->offer of thanks. But several weeks ago, while at a restaurant, I noticed that sometimes the whole thing goes in reverse. I say thanks, and feel gratitude. It may prompt someone to give me something, and then they may feel generous toward me. Gratitude is a funny thing. |
I have the lowest post count around, I do believe. But I hope that doesn't reflect upon the seriousness I have about this forum.
I hope it remains. I hope more of its good parts and good people come back. I hope that it finds a renewed and vigorous creative spark. I hope that things become more defined, yet retain its openess. Good things can happen here. I think Ze knows this. |

Things look a little better this morning, and I appreciate the effort that went into that.

I am grateful for gratitude, in general. With out it, none of us would be anywhere.;)
Seriously. None of us can do any of this alone, but together, we can do anything. Amirite?!?:) |

Ze, thank you for making it all happen and for being open to allowing it continue to happen. |
Dorkahontas - nice to finally meet you after all these years of lurking!
:-) |
^^^You too, TinaBina! *curtsy*

Yeah, yeah, it's all very well to be grateful to Ze for keeping the board running, but what about our gratitude to the real presiding spirit of the place, the poster who most consistently punctures the lame and makes you snort your beverage out your nose: Dinzdale.

I would like to express my admiration of Ze because this time he has really, completely and definitively killed the original Thread Killers Thread, which was more than anyone else could do.

Sorry to break it to ya, Odbe, but it's still there.
