^ I've posted once or twice from the kitchen, when my iPod was on the fritz and I needed my laptop for a recipe. :D

So here's a question for the 'monkeys:

Outside, I have two gigantic pumpkins, ready to be carved up for Halloween. Usually, my kid sister and I go through an elaborate, hour-long process of sketching out the design, but the creative juices aren't flowing tonight...

Would you have any ideas for pumpkin designs? I'm open to anything, and I mean anything (we go a bit overboard, so previous carvings have included a cat in a gnarled tree, the Weezer symbol, and some bat-out-of-hell thing with glowing eyes). :)

Two letters: M.C.
One word: Escher

a pumpkin

brightpearl 10-30-2007 06:52 PM

just kidding

Okay, for realz..
Have you looked at extremepumpkin.com for ideas? He has a very nice buggy face using smaller gourds on there, and much that is Calvin and Hobbes-esque.

general advice

Okay, so I need advice, but I'm too depressed about it to talk about it, and I can't talk about it anyway, mostly because I'll end up looking like a big jerk, trust me. :( So I'll take any advice about just about anything right now, especially along the lines of this:

well, usually, the words "i'm really sorry" work pretty well..

everybody's a jerk sometimes, don't be too hard on yourself :)

lukkucairi 12-19-2007 08:05 AM

it will get better with time - everything does

Stephi_B 12-19-2007 09:32 AM

Chin up Brynn! :) It's just like Frieda & Lukku already said.

Any advice just about anything, wait let's look what my newest Gaussian 03 output file (G03 output files - better than the Oracle of Delphi ;)) has for you:

Breathe in: "Everything is..." Breathe out: "As it should be."

(and remember you're owed a little slack for all the times you could have been more of a jerk but weren't)

I'm looking to cut costs around here...I use Vonage for $30, but wonder what anybody else has used successfully for less. Yahoo Phone or Skype or something?

And I'm also thinking about ditching cable TV, which I never ever watch, wonder if anyone uses movie or tv show download sites that are cheap but good? I'll have to do something to prevent Spongebob withdrawal in my kiddo.

eta: keep in mind that technologically I am on par with the average ceramic garden gnome.
