As a kid, I used to overturn the Christmas tree 1.5 times annually. Plus breaking the beautiful glass bubbles and other ornaments. Every year there were less and less of them. |

getting a batch of almond cookies in the mail from my mother in law, and an apology from her because I'm allergic to almonds and she feels bad enough to apologize for my allergy but not bad enough to include any cookies that don't have almonds in them :p

oversleeping having left a couple of things to wrap and write in the morning and consequently arriving half an hour later than I said I would

Presents!

Fresh whole crab, eaten every Christmas Eve with family and friends on a table covered with newspaper and a vinyl tablecloth. No plates - just fingers, picks and nutcracker things. Melted butter with garlic and lemon. Lots of joking around.

oh, texts here too. theres always a special one around midnight on the night before christmas.
