Who saw "28 Days Later"?
Oh, man! I am only now after 10 days able to return a "28 Days Later" DVD to Netflix. It took that long to finish watching because I had to keep turning it off when I got too scared, and then it would take two days to work up the nerve to watch more. I'm not usually this big a wimp. Did anyone else see it? |
With Sandra Bullock? About her being an alcoholic?

No, this is the one by the guy who did Trainspotting, about a ultra-contagious virus that fills its victims with rage. C-r-e-e-p-y! |
I just made a turkey tetrazzini and polished up a spread sheet to impress the powers that be only to have my husband freak out with terrets because the stapler cant be found....
NOW I HAVE THE RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Dammit!!!! A perfect evening ruined by a farking stapler!!!!! THE RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never sleep tonight now...and I have to be at work in 8 hours............ |
Oh yeah. THE RAGE.
What I didn't get is if they were all so pissed off, why did they just attack the normal people? Seems like the rage would compel them to kill each other as well. That scene in the tunnel pissed me off. No way in hell do you go in there. Idiots. And that complex with all the military is probably more like a rehab that the one Sandra spent her time in. Except for all the horny guys with guns. Well.....maybe not. Have you got the disk with all the alternative endings, Smarty? Don't hold your breath. |
Hey, I'd be the first to agree the movie had a lot of flaws. For one thing, if the army guys were so industrious as to have built up this entire fortress with land mines and generators and flood lamps, why didn't THEY see the planes in the air and take their army trucks to the ferry landing and just make it to France, rather than laying the trap to lure women to their lair to rape them and therefore provide them with immortality?
I'm just surprised that such a flawed movie frightened me. On the other hand, I don't live with anyone who loses staplers, so I have no REAL rage to compare the movie-virus rage to. (That sounds even scarier than ANY Sandra Bullock movie -- "Two Weeks Notice" included! ;) |
i saw it, and although i can appreciate the screenplay i thought the movie was boring, i got up and made a sandwich and came back 20 mins later and literally nothing happened
|
I saw it, I own it. We have a whole collection of horror movies as I am a huge fan.
New twist on the Night of the Living Dead thing, sorta. Anyone who falls down and or twists their ankles in these movies deserves to die horribly. We usually take bets on who is going to die first. The last movie that I saw that bothered me in the least was called "In The Mouth of Madness" Has anyone else seen that? |
People in my house who have seen "Once Every 28 Days" have been known to run screaming through the streets, hands covering their ears against the death-dealing screeches.
|
yes, once every 28 days at my house, something is maimed or killed as well.
:p |
saw it love it own it.

i own "28 days later", i'd love to own "in the mouth of madness," and i've had enough of the "once every 28 days madness" to last a lifetime. but i'm starting to think that the regular drumbeat of PMS is better than the random insanity of perimenopause.

Haven't seen 28 Days Later yet.
Every time In The Mouth Of Madness comes on cable, I sit down to watch it and every time I fall asleep shortly after the scene where the guy comes crashing through the plate glass window. I wake up when Sam Neill is in the padded cell and then the credits roll. I'll either have to get hold of some strong amphetamines to see this flick all the way through or just scratch it off my list of things to do. (Caffeine doesn't work, btw.) |
see, that's what you think happens. actually that's the supernatural effect the film has on it's viewers. you actually watch the whole thing through and it snaps a little switch in your pineal gland that erases the memory of it. meanwhile it's altering you at the psychosomatic/genetic memory level.
