spyware program
What is a good one?
which one is better? Or should I get them both?
I have both of those on my laptop at home. They work really well. And they're free!!
You should have both. I have Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad Aware, and Spyware Blaster all on my machine. They over lap in coverage, but some pick up things others don't.
I have them both, use them both regularly. Keeps things from bogging down.

dang, I had 566 of those buggers on here...
They are sneaky little bastards.

does anyone else get this message all the time "spybot wants you to know that you are about to download "active a' this is a know threat, do you want to block it?"
I get it all the time, when I click yes, I can't view the page, that sucks! |
Get Firefox, the Mozilla browser, and you won't even have to worry about spyware. It doesn't download ActiveX controls automatically.
Go here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ It's free and it beats the pants off Internet Explorer. I've been using it since early November and I wouldn't go back to Explorer. Ever. |
can I get rid of ad-aware and spybot if I get that?
You probably won't need them if you get Foxfire.
Best to check out the specs and FAQ's on the Mozilla site, but likely not. |
