Does anyone else.......???

Still have their Christmas tree up?

And if so, do you still turn the lights on?

I don't think I am going to have the energy to get rid of this thing until the weekend.....

It's the traditional end of the Christmas season - Mad called it Three Kings night - the Epiphany. Decs are supposed to come down that night or it's bad luck. not that I believe in luck but I don't want any more thank you very much...

the only evidence of the holiday in my house was the pile of greetings from monkeys!!

Little known fact: Christmas starts the 12 days of christmas. It took them kings a while to find the little bugger... apparently he was hiding out in a manger or something.

Our tree is still up. We'll probably de-christmasify on sunday and then figure out which old toys we're going to donate in order to make room for all the new crap..er much-appreciated and generous gifts.

Actually, some scientists and researchers believe that Christ was born about four years before his reported birth, in April, and that it took the three kings about three months to reach their destination, using a planet (Jupiter or Saturn, I forget which) to direct them.

I like the idea of Christmas in April.

The tree pickup people are coming Jan. 9th, so the tree goes on the 8th. I just can't bring myself to do it til then.

tsunamimom 01-06-2005 05:51 AM

this year we got a fake tree - we've always had real trees up til now but Christmas really crept up on me this year. I came home to see christmas lights through the blinds in the front room window. Oh flippin' 'eck,' thought I, 'Hubby has got off his arse and got a tree!! yippee!'

I came in to find a large cardboard box with a christmas tree drawn on it in felt pen by my daughter and lights wound round it.

So, laden with guilt, I rushed out to Target and got a display tree at 50% off after arguing the toss with the manager, which kept the child happy for an hour or so while we got mushy over the decs that we drag out every year.

I am a terrible mother...

I saw that three kings cake mad has in the reciepe section, I didn't know what it meant, but I don't like cherry's very much.

I need to find a recycling center to take it to, I live downtown, it pisses me off to see people that put them down on the street.

Mine is still up and decorated...hahahha, we got our tree in Mexico!

I have to get rid of it soon...it's almost a fire hazard

OMG! My two year anniversary is on Saturday!!

At the end of the month it will be the fourth anniversary of us coming to America. I would become a citizen, but I can't actually afford it.

We took down our tree yesterday. I was so busy trying to make it a good Christmas that I got the tree weeks early. . . well that bad boy was such a fire hazard so we had to get rid of it yesterday. The needles rained over the apartment as Sim carried it out. . . I need to go get more vaccuum bags because the needles clogged it more than once. It was such a mess.

I just bought my first Christmas tree (75% off) in anticipation for having my own place next season.

It's tall and thin and has built-in teeny white lights, and it sits in a big gold pot.

My mom said it looks like something from an office lobby. Whateva. I heart it.

Awe! Good for you Gats!
