Who killed ze?(a screenplay)

[credits flash across the screen as we see a tall woman clicking across a parking lot in high heels, while jazz plays from a street band nearby. woman hums the tune to herself and heads towards her car. a black truck screeches into the parking space next to her red vw bug. a man in a wrinkled blue shirt and ripped jeans leaps out]

woman- ze! what the hell?
ze- sorry, kate...but i have to have your answer or I'll go mad! I thought you knew how I feel about you.
kate- oh, ze...i dont want to hurt you...but i thought that i made this clear. bill has so much more to offer. he's a millionare! he has three testicles! THREE! so, my answer has to be no.

[Kate pulls herself away and, in one fluid motion, opens her door and get's in. As she starts the engine we can see 'ze in the background. His eyes plead, his shoulders slump. He brings his hands up to pound on her window only to think better of it. His hands continue up to his face as he bursts into tears.]

'ze- Why? Why? Why?

[Kate looks up sympathetically for a moment at the tragic figure. Something in her goes suddenly cold and she turns away, puts the car into gear, and purrs away. 'Ze peers out at her from behind his cupped palms. Once she is gone he quickly wipes his eyes on his shirt and smirks playfully]

'ze - That was great!

[He hops into the truck and screeches away, past the jazz band and into the night. He glances back into the truck at a heavy set young man holding a sweet digital camera and an asian girl wearing headphones and holding a parabolic microphone]

'ze - Did you get that?

[The woman in the back seat removes her headphones, shakes out her multicolored hair and grins at Ze]

amanda - Got it Ze. This will wrap the series up nicely. Too bad for Kate when she sees this...hur hur hur.

[cam quick pans to Ze]
[ze is scribbling notes in a small red journal, he looks up with mischievous look at the young man with the camera]

ze - Ya, no worries, the web cam hack you installed will catch her reaction when she does.

Steven - Do I smell another series?

ze - smirks

and opens his eyes really wide
