Having grown up in Calgary, I'll quite happily take montreal for all it's good and bad points any day.

I wish I lived in Canada. I'm embarrassed sometimes.

I wouldn't mind being from Toronto. It's right across the lake, really. I could sort of pretend I'm from there....

i dont think its montreal that most canadians have a problem with, because its a beautiful city with a lot of culture. I go for the jazz festivals there almost every year.
i think what most of canada loathes about it is quebec, in general. From government all the way down, they have done a lot of silly things.
Referendem or however you spell it...if it was 'yes' in the end, i would of given you guys about 5 years, financially.

Everyone in my hometown refers to New York as "the center of the universe". Too much of Canada lives in too small an area.

Nonetheless, the friends of mine who moved there never left.
