Wow zen - can I borrow some money? :)

I won skating races a coupla times... and a sprint (once, MANY years ago :p) and came in first swimming laps once in a swimming class. I've won tiny bits of scratch-it money, and I won a small singing competition in Hollywood (classical singers only ;)) And many games of backgammon. And a cooking competition, for which I won a great big illustrated cookbook of regional Italian recipes. (I made a bittersweet chocolate raspberry torte.) Oh, and I won a trivia game - I got a $10 Starbucks certificate :D

See now, that's just not fair..........

Yeah... well... If I had just spent what I spent on the chocolate, I could have gone out and bought the book :rolleyes:

I ain't won shite.

But we just got the lottery here two months ago and I am sicktodeath of the lines at the gas stations.

I won a meteorite sample pack, a Metalic, a Stony, and a Metal/Stony.

And I won a small camera that can be placed in a telescope eyepiece holder...but have no laptop that would enable me to use it.

I have, with friends, been awarded the Riverside Telescope Maker's Conference's "Edward R. Byers Conspicuoulsy Overdressed at the Conference Award" AKA "The Bozo Award".

And last but not least:

I have, with friends, won an Outstanding Amatuer Astronomy Outreach Award..."The Las Cumbres Award" from the Astronomical Association of the Pacific.

Other than that I haven't won shit.

Airline tickets, a microwave oven, many watches, several thousand dollars, a crateful of L'Oreal product, and the biological lottery.

i've just won a rather lovely electric blue handbag on ebay. 'electric' sounds like ebay selling talk to me... i'm expecting muggy blue

I won $37 in scratch off tickets. My dad buys lottery tickets for stocking stuffers every Christmas.

I won a Eddie Money CD years ago at a bar. I went with my brothers to the bar, and I had to use the restroom. When I rejoined them, my older brother told me there was going to be a hula hoop competiton, and the winner would receive $100. I was a little short on cash, so I got on the dance floor and won the contest by applause. I walked up to the D.J. and asked for my cash prize, and he told me that all I had won was a CD. My brother laughed his ass off. I will get even with him some day.
