What/who do you miss?

1. My boyfriend and his son (they had to go home yesterday, darnit!)
2. Not being aware of the troubles in the world.
3. A time when I didn't worry much about money!
4. Eating malted milk balls while sitting on the swing in my childhood back yard.
5. Danny Elfman singing instead of just composing. (Oingo Boingo!)
6. Hopscotch.
7. Playing outside until dark every night.
8. My college chums Kelly and David - where did they go?
9. Drawing for hours and hours while watching Dr. Who and listening to Dr. Demento
10. Being able to buy records instead of CDs.

6. Being able to just turn on the radio (at home and in the car) and listen to KCRW instead of having to connect on the computer (tho' I'm grateful I can!)
7. Being able to just relax on the weekend instead of doing yet more work...

The board when we were all new, everything was new, and nobody had to worry about anyone making fun of them because they were enthusiastic or didn't say something *just right*; when we could just be goofy and everyone else would join in; when there wasn't this horrid mean streak running through it; when it was all about discovering each other and embracing what we discovered.

But this is the "I Miss" thread...so what else do you miss?

Random unprotected sex.

I miss going out dancing till 4 or 5 in the morning and then going to eat breakfast, all sweaty and smeared makeup, feeling so hot and sexy and good about life.

And why aren't you still doing that? *waiting for excuse*

I don't have the energy to do it like I used to. I can't drink like I used to. I can't stay out as late. I don't get excited about the music like I used to.

Nope - I haven't indulged in that thread. It's actually one that represents what I'm talking about, now that you mention it. On the other hand... I'm a sensitive beastie. We're not very welcome here anymore, and woe to the soft little creature who should roll over on its back to have its belly rubbed. Hopefully that season will turn.
