I have to give a shot
 

And, I am very nervous about it. My sister-in-law is pregnant, through invitro fertilization. My brother is out of town, so I have to give her a shot this Saturday, because the clinic is not open.

The needle is an inch an a half long....And I have to give it to her in her butt.

I have given my cats shots before, but they were just underneath the skin.

I don't want to hurt her. If I go too slow it will be painful, too quick and too hard, it will leave a bruise.

The only thing I do know, once I have the needle in, I have to draw the plunger out a bit to make sure that I have not hit a vein. Sorry this is a weird post, I am just anxious about this. My mother asked me, "Are you sure you can do this?" I said that I would just have to do it.

If any of you had to deal with giving shots, please give me some advice. Thanks.

If your sister-in-law is like a cat, wrap her in a towel so she cant move around and scratch you.
