Mistaken lyrics

Hey! Have you ever thought that you knew the words to a song, only to have a revelation much later that you knew the wrong words all along?

For example, the song "Hey Santa Claus" (which is also featured in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation) has a chorus that I swore was:

"Pigs and bones!
Pigs and bones!
Pigs and bones and bones and bones!"

when I was a little kid. I know it's pretty stupid, but kinda funny now. :o

Of course, even now that I know the error of my ways, I still have to sing it that way sometimes, but anyway...

Anyone else have a mistaken lyric they want to share?

Creedence Clearwater Revival's "there's a bad moon on the rise" I thought it was "there's a bathroom on the right" - I understand many people heard the same thing.

When i was 5 years old i used to listen to a christian kiddies radio programme. It began with a psalm i always misheard, i know now (me being raised with no religion at all).
The children sang: Voor des Heren lof en prijs.
I will translate it for you: to the praise and glory of the Lord
I sang: Voor de zere lof en prei
Tanslation: to the hurting chicory and leek.
Well, i undestood that. I hated chicory and leek. Of course they hurt!
But i couldn't understand why my mother kept on laughing.

This song.... And I don't even know its name

"Don't you look at my girlfriend, shes the only one I got, not much of a girlfriend" blah blah blah, but the refrain sounds like my name, I think it may be tea yamo ((phonetically))which in Spanish means I love you), but it sounds exactly like my name. At least that is what I thought when I was 13.

Your name wouldn't be "Take A. Jumbo" by any chance?
